I loved this episode. I liked the tic tac pool photoshoot, Angeria really served and I lived for it. While the talent show was definitely not as strong as the first episode, this episode was more consistent. No one truly flopped the talent show (maybe Deja idk lol), everyone served on the runway and it was overall better than the first premiere. AND THAT LIPSYNC omg DEJA SERVEDDDD, Fallin is a great song choice. All of the girls are really likable and I'm so excited to see what comes next.

Not As Strong As Episode 1

With the last couple of seasons having a split premiere, I've noticed that the second episode is never as strong as the first. Maybe it was due to the talents being so one note or the lack of shining personalities.
I hope that this episode was the mail in the coffin for using lip sync as a talent when it's not your own original song. Three in a row just highlighted how it's an aspect of drag all queens entering Drag Race should have.
It's a strong cast regardless, but I definitely believe our top 4 were in the first premiere.
Also, I'm already over the straight talk. Like we get that Maddy is straight, it's literally whatever, but I don't want every episode to have a spotlight on his straight struggles in a queer environment.

Basic talent show, Ru makes drama

I wish we could have more to the variety shows than just lip-synching. Of all seven of the acts, only two of them didn't involve any lip-synching. It was kind of boring. Despite that, I did enjoy all of the queens in this episode.
One thing I'd like to bring up is RuPaul's interaction with Maddy during the walkthrough. I didn't appreciate that Ru essentially "outed" Maddy to the cast. Maddy literally said during her introduction that she wanted her fellow contestants to judge her on her drag first and not her sexuality, and Ru essentially took that away from her. It went against her wishes as a competitor. I don't like the Ru has been like, "HEY CHECK OUT THIS STRAIGHT PERSON OVER HERE!" I feel like Maddy's going to get some very awkward treatment throughout the season.
Not much to say about placements. Sad to see the eliminated one go so early.
