There’s some serious money to be made when it comes to Storage Wars.
The long-running A&e reality TV series first debuted in 2010 and has gone on for 14 seasons, and follows the buyers and auctioneers involved in storage units left unpaid after three months. The contents inside are sold by an auctioneer as a single lot of items in cash-only auctions. Before the auction begins, the buyers are given five minutes to inspect the contents from the doorway.
When all is said and done, the winning buyer gets to go through the lockers, and we learn about each of the storage units’ worth as they dig through the contents – and whether the buyers made gains or losses with their winning bids.
Several of the stars of the show have managed to amass great fortunes through their work.

Storage Wars blew up instantly when the show made it’s debut on December 1, 2010. If you’re not too familiar with one of A&e’s popular shows, the reality series follows professional buyers who visit storage facilities throughout the state and bid on the lockers. However, the important thing is that buyers aren’t allowed to enter or touch any of the items inside of the locker. They could end up buying a gold mind or worthless trash. Brandi Passante was one of the original cast members from the show’s very first season. She was on the show with her boyfriend, Jarrod...

Long-time Storage Wars star Gunter Nezhoda has died following complications with lung cancer. He was 67. Gunter’s passing was confirmed by his son and fellow Storage Wars cast member Rene Nezhoda on Wednesday, March 22, in an emotional Twitter video. “Today’s a very sad day and this is a very hard video to make and I’ve made this video many times already. I’m just gonna say it the way I say it. My dad, 6 months ago, was diagnosed with lung cancer,” Rene said. “He’s been smoking for 30 years. Not the last time, but he’s been smoking for a long time. Last night, he passed away in his sleep peacefully from complications from lung cancer.” Rene went on to say that his father had many “holes in his lungs,” and the doctors couldn’t do anything more for him. With its list of new releases for February 2023, Disney+ is going all out to honor one of the biggest Marvel movies of the past year (and the one with the studio’s best Oscar chances yet).
Simply put: February 2023 belongs to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on Disney+. The Black Panther sequel arrives to the streaming service on Feb. 1. Wakanda Forever serves as both a fitting sendoff to the iconic Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa and a pretty fun introduction to Tenoch Huerta as Namor.

Twice impeached former president Donald Trump is once again drawing backlash for his dinner company this week, after an event at Mar-a-Lago featured a prominent QAnon conspiracy theorist.
In photos and video posted online on Tuesday night, it was revealed that Liz Crokin, who has actively pushed unfounded conspiracy theories like “pizzagate” was a featured speaker at the event at Mar-a-Lago. In other photos, Crokin is with Trump specifically, with the two giving a thumbs-up to the camera.
“It’s not good when you mingle with a conspiracy theorist to distract from your dinner with a white supremacist,” Fallon joked.
Of course, Trump actually had dinner with not one, but two white supremacists earlier this month, after hosting Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, and Nick Fuentes at Mar-a-Lago as well. Ye was recently kicked off of Twitter once again for antisemitic images and messaging, while Fuentes is a known Holocaust denier.

During the 2009 recession, History Channel found an unlikely hit in Pawn Stars, the unscripted series in which everyday people found life-changing treasures in their attic and turned them into cash at a time when money was tight.
The series has since gone on to become a massive hit. More than 700 episodes have been commissioned, with repeats airing across History, Lifetime, A&e and Netflix. Several others in the so-called transactional TV genre launched around the same time, series like Shark Tank, American Pickers, Storage Wars, American Restoration and others. A spinoff of the successful franchise that started it all, Pawn Stars Do America, will launch Nov. 9 on History.

The thing about a cabinet is that not every item inside is going to serve the same purpose. There are knick-knacks that will sit unused for a while. Other pieces are designed to looked at and never touched. Next to both could be some beloved keepsakes that get brought out when the time is right.
Sure, it’s a strained metaphor, but all those really do apply to “Cabinet of Curiosities,” the Netflix collection of horror stories assembled by producer/writer/host Guillermo del Toro. The series has all the double-edged freedom of anthology. Give talented storytellers the chance to bring these stories to life in their own way and you’ll inherently get installments that squish up against each other like puzzle pieces from mismatched sets.
But that’s part of the excitement, too. The promise of “Cabinet of Curiosities” is that, at the start of each story, anything could happen.

Cinema purists may be loath to admit it, but there are certain advantages to streaming a movie over going to a theater. You’re in the comfort of your own home, for example. So when you’re watching a film like “Me Time” and you feel like walking out, there’s no shame in that. You don’t have to get up and gather your things and excuse yourself in front of a crowd. You can just press a couple of buttons and watch “Bridgerton” instead.
That may sound like a burn but, to be fair, the characters in “Me Time” would also rather be watching “Bridgerton.” Fifteen minutes into this Netflix exclusive, Kevin Hart and Regina Hall, who play the married couple Sonny and Maya Fisher, get into an argument because they were supposed to watch the Netflix exclusive “Bridgerton” together. Instead, she watched it with someone else on a business trip.

She’s a woman whose name you may recognize, but you will remember her after you get to know her even if you’d not heard of her yet. She’s a force, and we think it’s time

When reality television was introduced, most people had no idea just where it would go and how far it would take them. Shows like “Storage Wars,” are always a hit because they are interesting and not over-the-top dramatic in a trainwreck kind of way. This is a show that is more realistic and more interesting than others because it shows that some people just live differently, they do things differently, and they can make a living doing it. Imagine if “Pawn Stars,” “American Pickers” and “Storage Wars” created a mashup spinoff, but with a higher purpose.
That’s what viewers will find when they tune into “Operation Hidden Treasures,” Discovery Channel’s new reality series that puts the spotlight on America’s veterans, as so few TV shows do.
The half-hour unscripted series follows members of the world’s biggest military veterans’ enterprise, JDog Junk Removal and Hauling, as they turn someone’s trash into someone else’s treasure, all for a good cause.
“I understand that trainwreck reality shows will always be popular, but I love making reality TV that showcases amazing people doing interesting things,” says executive producer Jim Milio.
Milio, who co-executive produced the film “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” and hails from shows such shows National Geographic’s “Dog Whisperer,” History’s “Founding Fathers” and “Rescue 911” from CBS, has worked on many television projects that have positive impact.

The king of collectibles, Barry Weiss, is set to make his triumphant return to Storage Wars when the new season kicks off on November 2. Weiss’ return to the show comes after being sidelined with multiple injuries following a motorcycle crash in April 2019. Back in March, TMZ shared photos of the A&e star back on set, and now a new trailer posted by the publication shows the moment Weiss made his grand reintroduction. The 70-year-old entrepreneur pulls up in style in a 1939 Lincoln Zephyr, retrofitted with a flamethrower exhaust. The Storage Wars cast is unaware of who is behind the wheel until Weiss rolls down the window and surprises his co-stars. “You haven’t seen this one yet,” Weiss says, referring to his new set of wheels. “Did you miss me?” he follows up in a confessional. “In the last seven years, a lot of stuff has changed with me.

The new season of reality show Storage Wars will feature the return of the king. At least, the king of collectibles.Barry Weiss, who was missing from the show for months after a bike crash left him with multiple injuries, will be back for the new season.
TMZ reports Weiss made a grand entrance in his return to the show, surprising the cast when he rolled up in a 1939 Lincoln Zephyr, retrofitted with a flamethrower exhaust.
While the cast admired the car’s first appearance, they couldn’t tell who was driving until Weiss rolled down the tinted window. “Did you miss me?!?” A few jokes were spent on him, but one bidder lamented that on a day anticipated to be a hunt for collectibles, the king of collectibles returned.
Season 13 of Storage Wars arrives Nov. 2 with back-to-back episodes.

“Storage Wars” star Jarrod Schulz has been arrested and charged with one count of misdemeanor domestic violence battery against his ex (and former on-screen partner), Brandi Passante, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office confirmed.
Details are sparse, but a law enforcement source told TMZ that on April 30, Passante was hanging out with friends at an Orange County bar when Schulz arrived. A heated argument between the execs ensued, peaking when Passante told him to leave. He did not. According to TMZ, he began yelling and allegedly shoved her twice.
Police were called to the scene and filed a report, but by the time they arrived, Schulz had left. The TMZ source said that officers questioned Schulz a few days later; he denied claims that he touched her.

Storage Wars is a show with an interesting concept. Essentially, people bid money on storage compartments that are sitting without anyone taking care of them. They’re not being paid for, so someone else gets to buy the unit for so much money and take whatever is in it. Jarrod Schulz is one of the men who has been on the show for some time, and he’s someone fans have gotten to know quite well. However, news that he and his wife split hit the internet in April 2021, and fans are shocked. 1. His Wife Left Him To get to

E.W. Scripps will launch two digital multicast networks, Doozy and Defy TV, in July, taking advantage of the broadcaster’s expanded bandwidth for channels following its acquisition of Ion Media.
Doozy is aimed at women in the 25-54 demographic who are big consumers of reality TV shows such as “Storage Wars,” “Married at First Sight,” “Hoarders” and “Little Women: LA.” Defy TV is aimed at men in the same demographic with unscripted series about everyday people and those with adventurous professions including “Pawn Stars,” “Forged in Fire,” “American Pickers” and “The Curse of Oak Island.”
Doozy and Defy TV are set to bow July 1. Both channels will be available in more than 75% of U.S. TV households. That’s an important threshold for commanding national advertising deals.

Hollywood’s frantic streaming wars have upended the industry — and some of the ways have been more surprising than others.
A+E Networks and Discovery have long been fierce TV rivals, battling for attention from consumers who are fixated on unscripted programming about history, nature and just plain bizarre people from odd walks of life. A+E is known for series such as “Storage Wars” and “Ice Road Truckers,” while Discovery has boosted shows including “Naked and Afraid” and “My Big Fat Fabulous Life.”
In the race to gain TV ratings, neither company would lift a finger to help the other. In the battle to win streaming-video subscriptions, well, it’s a very different story.
Discovery captured industry attention last week when it unveiled its Discovery Plus streaming service. Among the programs from its proprietary cable outlets, like TLC and Food Network, are a selection of series from some of A+E’s most popular channels.

Rummaging through abandoned storage facilities doesn’t sound like most people’s idea of a good time, but it’s something that Ursula Stolf managed to make a career out of. Unlike other people in the Storage Wars franchise, Urusula wasn’t someone who had been a serious buyer for many years. It’d be hard for a lot of people to say that they’d never heard of Dan and Laura Dotson since when it comes to the A&e show Storage Wars their names tend to come up pretty readily.
