Hilary Duff has been on a bunch of TV shows but this season she finally appears to have found her groove as Sophie. The ridiculous facial expressions and behavior are working and it has become much funnier once they loosened that character up a bit.
This show is never going to be a classic, but this was at least kind of funny. Some moments worked, some scenes worked. They just need to get rid of the Josh Peck recurring character as he has never been funny.
The Judge Judy guest appearance feels like the kind of thing we would have gotten on the original How I Met Your Mother too so it rang true to the series' tone.
