I think this play is very good, worth watching, and its acting skill is also very good. Every actor's acting skill is very good, and the script is also good.

Boys love? More like toxic love.

This show is about two childhood friends, Kuea and Lian. Kuea's grandfather actually helped Lian's family to start their own business. Then they become successful and rich, just like Kuea's family. Their grandfathers were close and one day they thought "You know what could be amazing? If our grandchildren marry each other!!" So basically, they want them to marry to have their families closer to each other's? Okay. Their last wish wasn't like "Oh, it would be great if they were close friends and..." NO, THEY NEED TO MARRY! Even if they didn't like each other! Even if they're toxic together. Yeah. Makes sense.
(Actually, it wasn't the most toxic couple in this show. But more on that later.) Lian thinks Kuea isn't interesting, but he's not like other boys. He likes motorcycles and he also performs music under his secret stage name, Kirin. Which is not really important, because he'll reveal his true identity in episode two. So. Yeah.
They're also going on dates, and it's just.. embarrassing. They're not eating their food which is in front of them and oh my god, eat your food. They don't really like each other and then, during a heated confrontation, Kuea calls off the engagement. The end. OH I WISH THAT WAS THE END. But of course, when they start getting to know each other and their true selves and feelings, they start to fall in love. Okay, yeah, I really like this concept, but the execution was just.. off.
This is the part where I'm going to get angry. I'm going to talk about Diao and Yi, the secondary couple. Yi feels guilty because his dog attacked Diao, causing childhood trauma. So he's like taking care of him, and he's also deciding where Diao can or can't go??? He's like controlling his every move. In one scene, Diao literally visits a karate school called FREEDOM. Yes, FREEDOM. The reviewer on BL Watcher dot com is shipping Kuea & Diao, and I didn't see it at first, but now that i'm thinking about it, it doesn't look bad. They're supporting and caring and.. OH MY GOD I CAN TOTALLY SEE THAT NOW! And another thing that Yi does is when he and Diao have an argument (like in every episode) in the car, and after that, Diao comes home, and he sees a dog. A little cute doggie, so he's like "Whose dog is it?" and Yi is like "Welp, it's yours." You fricking manipulator. You think this will resolve this problem? Ok, maybe yeah. I love dogs. God dammit!
I love what happens in episode twelve. Lian's dad is having this big birthday party and everyone is there. And you know what Lian does? I couldn't believe my own eyes; he asks Kuea to MARRY HIM. AND HE'S LIKE.... NO. I love this moment. Every fan must've been like sad and I was just laughing out loud. It was perfect. In the end, Kuea is the one, who proposes to Lian. But Lian is like "No way! You think i'm going to be the BOTTOM now? I ain't gonna have anything in my ass tonight." And HE proposes to Kuea. In the very end, there's this text saying "Love will be continued." Noo, there is no season two. No. There can't be. Well.
So after a month I watched Cutiepie I was browsing the internet and I saw "Cutiepie 2" and I'm like no, this can't be real. It's like a fan made thing. Then I saw it on the official site and yeah, it's real. My PTSD came back and I was like "Nope, I can't watch it. I can't." But y'know. I eventually did..... It was basically about the marriage and wedding, or I don't know, I skipped A LOT of it. Yi and Diao are back, Yi looking like a sociopath and Diao looking scared of him. Just like the old times. So, in the end they'll marry and Diao will catch the bouquet, poor guy, and Kuea will get the music deal. It's just like a fairy tale. But toxic. Really, REALLY toxic.
I also wanted to say that I hated the main song.
I don't know why, but on Viki, where I watched season one, there was like every ten or fifteen minutes this ad break, or something, but there wasn't an ad, so they just played the main song again and again and I was like.... *Cries*

I saw the clip on ig and decided to watch it. I absolutely loved it! The plot is amazing, the cinematography, the aesthetics, the characters, the OSTs, and the visuals omg, everything is perfect! This set my standards way high for BL series. It is beautifully directed and I love the couples chemistry. It has drama, comedy, and ROMANCE!
I am in love! It's my favorite BL series ever! I am so glad I found it. A must watch for everyone! :)

Stereotypical female character played by a man?

This is yet another BL drama which heavily features all the stereotypical female in the relationship tropes. Emotionally cold and borderline abusive "boy" love interest and a weak, useless "girl" played by a male actor. I guess it could be compared to Fifty shades of gray or Twilight in that sense.

Where do I even start? The actors? Acting? Cinematography?? Named it! This series surpasses my expectation especially the main actor Nunew. He s way better than most of BL actors these days (Im sorry need to get this out of my chest)
The series is meant to be a rom-com where audience just have to enjoy the ride without having too many plot messing things up (honestly Im tired of the same plot). I enjoyed watching it and it just makes my weekend all way better.
Worth the watch and cant wait for more upcoming episodes!

They so cute and this topic was interesting. I hope to see the scene where the little cutie turns into a little devil as soon as possible, the marriage date is the best. The acting skills of the two are very good and not too greasy.

It has all the stereotypes, a dominant man, serious that ends up caring about the other person and has to be serious at the start because of whatever reason (top) with a rebel yet easy-crying and femenine stereotype of man (bottom). It's nothing out of the box, it's the same formula that seems superb for kids that are starting to feel attraction, both physical and romantic. The erotic scenes, they were good and I'm glad they were like that since a lot of teenagers were watching it. The story was really meh, you could turn off the subtitles and you wouldn't get lost. The side couples, you could have cut them and it would have work in a 7 episode drama with no problem. At least the fanservice were good, gotta give them that.

Yes... you saw that right. I mean it. Here is the explanation. Firstly, i do not like the concept of pairing one extremely masculine while counterpart too cute and clumsy, be it in hetero or homo series. I understand it can exist but i don't appreciate it due to it resemblance to a typical omegaverse manga. I have plenty to read already.
Secondly, too many elements of luxury and extravagance have been depicted only to make up for the lack of depth in the plot. It has nothing to take away. The whole screen time of the 'cutie pie' Nu is only reserved to brainstorm if his 'Hia' really loves him. There is no plot twist even. It felt bland as water but from 'EVIAN'. He is portrayed to have a bunch of extreme hobbies under his innocent masquerade, improbably.
Thirdly, there are a lot of unrequired mouth to mouth scenes that suffice to label the series a softcore p*rn (apologies to the Zee-Nu fandom for breaking it to you) They fail to convey a longing bond instead are laced with lust. Let's guess what people are here for? Do not look for a theme behind the story, you would find none. Zee is a fine man, please find him meaningful roles. I agree that Nu is a good singer but he is not meant for acting therefore do not pull the trick of launching a new 'Noo' into the industry through a Bl. N' Nat is soooo cute. Susu na.

...with the lead actors Zee and Nunew, even if you, like some, have a problem with the age difference and the fact that early on in the series, there is definitely an imbalance of power between the two. (If this is your first BL, welcome! You're about to be confused/offended!) But stick it out, the last few episodes are SO worth any initial discomfort. And even if you don't end up liking Hia Lian and Kuea, then the pretty cast, the high quality of every aspect, the awesome music, the engaging balance of heartbreak and humor, and - more than anything else - the astonishing chemistry between Zee and Nunew (recently confirmed to be a real-life couple) will amaze you. Also want to point out that Cutie Pie was Nunew's first role ever, not that you'll believe that when you see how brilliant he is.

The pace is intense, the cases are interlocking, and the more you reveal, the more chilling it gets. The actors don't utter any nonsense, and the director just keeps you hooked, even though the film is three hours long.

To preface this review: i think that the 2gether series started my love for BL series but I was so frustrated with the way that played out so I was hesitant to start another series since I was expecting more from that series - but after watching a couple others and then stumbling onto this one, this one renewed my love for BL series!!!
I honestly like how this series didn't take too much time for them to start being affectionate and showing physical affection towards each other, sometimes that can just be a drag to wait out on its own. I love the OST as well, the aesthetic of the series and the different types of relationships that are displayed throughout the series and even show the character developments. I really enjoyed this series and was so happy when the relationship shows would evolve.

The story is kinda ok, but it's confusing sometimes especially about the relationship between Yi and Diao. I know their relationship will be revealed later in the story but giving some early, brief explanation would be nice so people wouldn't be confused. This series isn't the kind of series that i couldn't stop watching like Bad Buddy or Dark Blue Kiss. I paused all the time lol maybe it lacks suspense. But it's okay. It is kinda a chill story so far, no need to rush and can watch peacefully and taking my sweet time looking at Lian's pretty face.
I don't really like how Lian is sometimes to robotic if you know what i mean ( i know he's a good actor and i like him in Why R U). And why Lian's face is so blurry all the time? He's so good looking already. I don't know it this is Zee's request or what.. but it's not that apparent for other characters..

Look first of all it was so much better than other bls like 'dont say no' the songs the acting everything was phenomenal and i think they deserve more support so that zee and nunew keep surprising us with their beautiful chemistry

As a part of the LGBT community, I'm annoyed more than anything by this drama. I wasted time watching it, and hated the storyline. Everyone kept saying it was amazing.
Things are unique in "our" world, but aside from so brief "NC" moments, there is nothing good about this show.
There's a boring plot, boring 'sex' scenes, and a boring storylines aside from the back up characters who had the most interesting storyline of all of them -- and was immediately disbanded. Waste of time.
It was disfactory in every way.
I'll openly admit that I hated this entire show.
I genuinely wasted my time on it.
Don't waste yours.

This serie is so good i loved every minute of it ! The chemistry between Zee and NuNew is of the charts.
Nunew has a beautiful voice all the songs he sings in the serie are so good . If you are looking for a cute love story with lots of chemistry and also humour , then this is the one to watch!
The story is a bit unrealistic (2 boys who got engaged at a young age because both families want it) you see the development of this love story and the struggling the boys experience to be the best versions of them self's without losing their real self .
Its fluffy and romantic and Zee is so sexy haha !
Its in my top 3 BL series for sure.

This review is for those who might have a history of abuse. I had to stop watching after the first 3 episodes because I was so viscerally angry and would cry in frustration by the end of each one. The manipulative emotional abuse that both Lian and Yi display is horrible. I did try and use reactors as a distraction and that didn't work as well. I still can't discuss this show calmly. It hits all of my emotionally abusive triggers as Lian's character reminds me of my father and I know where this road leads. Kuea is lacking any agency as responsibility for him is passed from family to Lian.
Examples: Forced to move in with Lian. Lian using his power to "tell" on him to his mother, so then his mother uses uprooting him from his life as a coercion. After a non-concentual kiss when Kuea is so drunk he has a blackout and stealing his security cameras so he doesn't know what happened.
And don't get me started on when all the sudden it's a "misunderstanding" that Lian doesn't love him (said in a bar in front of other people l, I mean because why would we want a private conversation). It's not a misunderstanding when your vocal cords said you don't love him in episode 1.

Ok, it's true the actors are good. But. The problem is the storyline itself. I'm not sure if it should reflect the "classical" submissive women x dominant man behaviour on two pairs of men, but it might be so. The thing is, both Lian's and Yi's behaviour is highly manipulative and controling. Kuea and Lian are hiding many things from each other, so are Yi and Diao. I actually understand that Kuea and Diao are holding secrets, because if the didn't, they wouldn't be able to do anything. I admit I didn't see more than 4 episodes, I couldn't watch it. But in these 4 episodes, Lian is somehow "mysterious" and I really couldn't read his feelings towards Kuea, which might make him seem more manipulative in my eyes. I wouldn't hesitate to say, this is domestic abuse reciepe. Yi has, at least, clear reason for his behavior. Although him making Diao cry nearly every time, made me very uncomfortable. But I think, Yi has some kind of PTSD and with good therapy, this relationship could be ok.
I felt very angry just watching this and it's actually the first series I haven't watched till the end. No matter what, I always watch everything till the end, but in case of Cutie Pie, I just couldn't. Very toxic. So toxic, it made me write my first review.

Frustrating plot

I give this a mixed review for what was for me a frustrating plot. From the beginning I saw Lian as a heartless, manipulative jerk who should have been taken out with the trash. This comes from many things like his saying he wants to "care for" Kuea. In other BL's this comes across as cute and romantic, but here (and from Hia Yi too) it sounds too condescending and one-sided, as if the loved one will shrivel up and die if not cared for.... and how Lian gives mega-expensive gifts like the Ducati, as if he's trying to buy love... and how he does many things in secret, and he says Kuea is a doll.
It is great that Lian finally seems to express love, but I keep feeling like he has ulterior motives, like the whole thing is a business transaction he's trying to land, and saying the words is necessary to land it. It sounds genuine by the end, but it is hard to dismiss all the earlier history where motives were mixed and questionable.

This is the same old trend rich guys, adopting guy trying to prove himself. One sided then turns into toxic, passive-aggressive love. Women getting treated like 2nd class people with no respect. Can't have straight friends at all because goodness gracious it is forbidden. Straight girl always gets dissed no respect, because she is not worthy of love. So tired of this trend, how about you think out of the box. This has a second season of the same old thing like season 1 nothing new you know the ending without even watching it. Save your time and your brain cells for this one folks you are not missing a thing.
