this doc, made in 2011 also completely ignores the fact in where 75% of the US lives it was already illegal to prevent cloths lines under existing "solar access" laws which make exception for solar usage under which clotheslines were exempted from HOA (Home Owners Associations) prohibitions especially combined with case laws going back to the 1970's.
also the canard: "the US uses 25% of the worlds energy yet is 3% of the population" is a claim that does more harm than good when people look up that stat. Firstly the US uses some of the cleanest hydrocarbon energy and also produced a heck of a lot of non-hydrocarbon.
More to the point that includes economic PRODUCTION. the US also produces way more than 3% of the worlds most advanced products and services in processed that use that energy.
