Ignore the bad reviews
Starhavven24 May 2023
This seems to me like a necessary episode which is clearly based on character development. It gives the story and the characters certain depth that I know it will benefit from later on in the story.

Some people need to understand that in order to have highs you need lows. Just because there is no crazy stuff happening on this episode doesn't mean it's a bad or boring episode. It certainly adds depth as I said and sometimes when watching/reading a story this is exactly what you need. Not all the episodes need to be gory and scary. Some of them are meant to build up, to serve a major purpose than the episode itself, and this is just one of those.

Episode 204

Warning: Spoilers
I share the sentiment of a lot of fellow IMDB users that this episode just missed the mark. From isn't always perfect, but it is almost always entertaining and this one never really seemed to hook me in.

I think we all prefer the more supernatural elements of the show like what is going on with Tabitha and her visions as opposed to a potential government or big business conspiracy like it seems Jim is now invested in.

We will see what happens with Sara next, but given how these things usually go on TV shows, I do not expect her to meet her maker or end up in the box for the actions she did from the voices.

Boring and more boring...
aijaburkevica14 May 2023
When the first season started showing, I was the biggest fan of this series. Around the middle of the season, my enthusiasm waned because the events unfolded very slowly, many characters were involved but no explanation was given for their behavior, mystical phenomena appeared and disappeared. However, the last episodes gave some hope for more exciting developments in the future.

I have been waiting for a year for the continuation, but I receive again - nothing. If the first episode was still hopeful, then from now on there are only stupid, aggressive people who don't know how to have a normal conversation. No one thinks strategically, no valuable information is exchanged. But the worst thing is that the main characters have changed. Unfortunately, not for the best. I am disappointed and saddened by this result for such a promising series.

It has become 90% filler
v7lw20 May 2023
This episode is irrelevant, you won't miss a thing if you skip watching it.

It shows characters talking about everything that happened before in the season and the worst part is that this dialogue does not contribute to character development. After episode 3 I didn't think it could have more filler per episode then that, but sadly I was wrong.

Show looked promising at the beginning and maybe producers still have one or two good episodes planned for this season, but is it really worth watching for three good episodes per season is up to you to decide.

TV shows these days have gotten way better since time of Lost, producers should keep up with the times if they care about competition.

Warning: Spoilers
First season was god but Second season is a place for some answers not more question i think the director thought if he make more questions he can make another season but in my opinion a 2 season series with this kind of idea and a good ending is very pleasured until watching a second season like this, I don't know why don't they make some answers or don't show some more from the characters which know somth about this place like jade or victor or new gu egin it's really getting so much annoying that nothing is answered till this episode hope the other episode give us some answers and on the other hand I don't know how is that possible with this many people know one come to this ides to trap one of the monsters and get some answers about this plays I don't think its a dumb idea is it ?

Exciting show, bad episode
privacygeek21 May 2023
The premise of the svownis great, casting and characters are also great, but this episode (nad the next one as well) are soooooo boring, nothing happens. It's rehashing of what happened before, but if you skip this episode you won't miss a thing. Even the second season started out great again, and it picked up where it left off last season. I started the season with great hopes and anitcipation, but if they have a few more episodes like this, I will have to change my overall rating of the show, or even stop watching it altogether. It seems I'm not the only one either wiy this opinion...please pick up the pace again, it started out so well...

Season 2 should he studied as what NOT to do
emrekaragoz-943465 June 2023
All things considered season 1 of From was a surprise hit for them and they quickly got to work on season 2 to capitalize. Its an interesting idea that would work best if concluded in three seasons maaaybe 2 but god almighty these clowns absolutely dropped the ball. The last thing this cast of extremely different skill levels needed was a literal bus load of new bad actors playing one dimensional characters. Perhaps they needed to check off more boxes in terms of a more diverse cast I dont know but after episode 2 the last 3 episodes might be the worst episodes in recent modern tv history. The potential interesting ideas in all of our heads are more interesting than their decisions. And the characters all behave in such an unrealistic manor it drives me up the wall. Havent seen your love for months and think you never will? Oh shes here now too! How INCREDIBLE! But by the next episode their first scene together they are so angry at eachother theyre unable to communicate simple explanations like gee idunno "HEY IVE BEEN TRAPPED HERE YOU FOOL THERES PEOPLE THAT WALK AROUND AT NIGHT KILLING EVERYONE AND YOU CANT ESCAPE" Its gotten to the point where scenes with certain actors or characters are an automatic skip for me. The teenage daughter always screaming and running from point a to point b exhuding her poor acting skills chewing up all the scenery with it. Or the other young lady in love with boyd's son.. her scenes are repetitive, poorly written, and dont move the needle or reveal anything we care about.

They never used the radio again? They never trapped one yet?? Wouldnt that be the first thing to do with these stupid one minded creatures? Couldnt they have created better defenses by now considering these creatures dont have tools or use technology? Make a damn wall or dig a trench around the town/homes? Any of these small details would be interesting ideas to see bc the viewers are curious how life would be in this town but we get nothinggg we are led to believe these idiots were dying nonstop until they decided to hang talismans in their homes and hide. Some hippies hide up the hill in a mansion and have sex and drink! But no one does anything! All we have is "the box" as the one cool detail about their new world.. now we still have ppl measuring tree distances and no one sharing their findings. Its not a thinking mans show. Not anymore.

alright

Warning: Spoilers
Yeah, before talking about this episode.. the previous episode with the girl shot through the brain.. instead of hacking the bolt, boyd just pulls it out of her head, killing her instantly and in agony.. it would have been better to allow kenny to shoot her in the head.

And yeah.. one of the main problems of this show is the characters NOT TALKING TO EACH OTHER... sarah is important and is connected to the place.. but her brother.. and now boyd is keeping it from everybody.. and now finally kenny knows it too..

victor.. of course.. he has known about the boy in white since season 1.. and he only told the matthews boy.. and he, of course, is a kid and never told anybody because he thinks it is a quest..

anywya kenny is right.. sarah is dangerous and he would not be saying the same had it been his son that she had attacked.. but ok t hen... should just keep her hidden from everybody so they dont fry her.

After so many episode, julie finally sees fatima again and no ackwardness anymore after that asking about kissing her... well, they both almost died right.

I was reading other reviews before writing mine and yeah.. agreed.. funny how the people there never tried to trap one of the monsters.. why are they never in daylight? Are they like vampires or what? If they were to make walls.. what would the creatures do?

Of course kenny would flip when he found out about his dad.. we all know had sarah killed or helped kill boyds son, he would never have this conversation of sparing sarah.. only if someone had higher authority than him and pretty much punhced him on the face and told him not to kill her..
