Pier Paolo Pasolini’S Trilogy Of Life (Criterion) Pier Paolo Pasolini was Italy’s last Neo-Realist, a product of post-ww II Europe who was fervently Catholic, openly gay, defiantly Marxist, and one of the most original voices of the 20th century’s second half. Before his brutal murder in 1975 (after the premiere of his still-controversial swan song, “Salo”), Pasolini directed a trilogy of films based on masterpieces of medieval literature: Boccaccio’s “The Decameron,” Chaucer’s “The Canterbury Tales,” and “The Thousand and One Nights (also known as “The Arabian Nights”). The three films celebrate the uninhibited, earthy, raw carnal nature of the original texts, leaving little to the imagination, but also offering Pasolini’s own very unique and pointed views on modern society, consumerism, religious and sexual mores (and hypocrisies), and an unexpurgated celebration of the human body, both male and female. "The Office" actress Kate Flannery is putting Meredith on hold: She has landed her own standup series titled "StandUp In Stilletos" for TV Guide, set to air on June 16 at 10 p.m Et.
"We are continuing to invest in original series and exclusive programming that will draw entertainment fans closer to their favorite stars," TV Guide Network chairman Allen Shapiro said in a statement, referencing "StandUp" and the network's other new series, "Rove La." "'StandUp in Stilettos' and 'Rove La' will offer viewers fresh comedy programming with some of the best-known celebrities in Hollywood today, as well as up-and-coming talent."
The woman-centric 10-episode series will feature three comedians per installment to be be filmed in front of a live audience.
In addition to "The Office," Flannery's other TV credits include "The Life & Times Of Tim," "The Christmas Pageant," "The Soup" and more.

Jordan Belfi is headed to "Grey's Anatomy.

Melissa Gilbert knows that for anything and everything else she may do, her identity as "Half-Pint" always will be with her.
As "Little House on the Prairie" repeats continue as weekday Hallmark Channel staples, the former child actress who played Laura Ingalls Wilder -- and grew up to become a president of the Screen Actors Guild -- gets constant reinforcement of the effect her work on the Michael Landon-guided series, which NBC originally aired from 1974 to 1982, has had on several generations.
"It's extraordinary," Gilbert tells Zap2it. "I am still very aware of the impact the show has. I was on tour with the musical version for a year, and being on the ground, I got a feel for what both the book and the TV show 'Little House on the Prairie' meant to people.
