The 1 Star Review Is Kinda Stupid
jaydenessig11 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
When did Ivy need to find a plant before? And she said it should be easy for her to access the green so obviously it was in her all along! I will admit Poison Ivy opening up to swamp which causes him to stop is a bit stupid. Also, I think it was a decent conclusion to Nora Fries's arc. Did you want half an episode of her going on this serious quest to doing all the things she missed out on? In harley quinn? This show hasnt been as good as seasons 1 or 2 but I still think its been a solid 8/10. It is disappointing you are hating this show because I see your other reviews and we watch and love the same shows.

Guest Voices - FTW

EDIT: This episode was STILL pretty funny. Even though I added the wrong details in the review at first. Lololol. All jokes aside I really hope WB/D doesn't cancel this series. Hysterical.

The World Was Right Again (for a few scenes)
RPSinghDotme18 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Setting aside for a moment:

  • That this is a fantastic show in general
  • That the voice actors are all and each brilliant
  • The the writers strike perfect balance between fun and homage to the characters and their worlds
  • That this episode stands tall with all the rest of them, as thoroughly enjoyable and well developed...

The one thing that would still make this episode amazing even if none of the above were true, is the return of Matt Ryan in the rôle of John Constantine. The universe (real and imaginary) has been out of whack since Matt and John parted ways in the second last season of Legends of Tomorrow, so to get to experience him inhabit the character once again, if only for a scene or two, was pure bliss, and made my whole world feel right again.

I just don't understand

Warning: Spoilers
I like the series and i laugh too much with the episodes like this one. But i don't understand why they make the men so weak, i know it's a feminism series but you can't have batman crying like a little baby because he does't to be alone, Batman wants to be alone and always pushes back Selina not the opposite way around. Also why they make poison ivy so weak, they made her without the strong, indepentent and sexy personality that we used to.

How can this show get even worse?!
robotintroverted11 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So in order to find Frank, Ivy uses this unestablished power she always had called "the green." Why hasn't she used this power previously in other dire situations? Well because lazy writing of course! I think even the writers acknowledge how lazy it is by the end when they say that the power was in her all along. Writers, just because you know the trope is lazy, doesn't make you clever for pointing it out. You're actually worse for pointing it out and not changing it. So anyway, for half of the episode it is literally just people partying. Then we see Swamp Thing and basically he throws a temper tantrum, and talks about how Ivy never listens. So then Ivy proceeds not to listen and then talk about her own problems instead of acknowledging Swamp Thing's problems, and he lets her go. Wow, great writing. We also get closure to the Nora Fries character, you know, the character that I bet you've been dying to see closure for because she's just that important! And it gets resolved in the most half-baked fashion possible, by rushing it out. We also have a cringy musical, and the plot still hasn't progressed. When are they going to stop padding out the show, and actually get on with the show? Beats me.

1/10.

I turned it off halfway through
MrWobble15 November 2022
Well this episode finally broke me. I've been disappointed this season, but now that disappointment has turned into disbelief. How has a show I loved so much fallen so far? It's become a relationship show, and there isn't enough meat on those bones to support show after show for an entire season.

Where is the action?

Where are the comic book stories?

Where is the funny?

Well they are sort of there(minus the funny) is you squint real hard, but in reality those are quickly discarded setups to do dull relationship humor/drama.

Oh, so yeah about the episode... Well it was so bad that I turned it off and came immediately here to do this rant.
