A very strong continuation.

PC Adama is shocked when she learns that her instincts were right, and that Mark Brannon has gone a step further, and commited murder, she feels guilty, it also brings her directly into the path of Sarah Collins.

I wondered how on Earth they were going to bring Adama and Collins together, we now know, this was a very well written and cleverly plotted episode.

If I'm honest, I don't remember being quite so engaged in the first series as I am here, they've definitely changed the format, and upped the pacing somewhat.

Several tense and gripping scenes, that moment where Lizzie goes off in pursuit of Mark was a cracking moment, their showdown was quite a moment.

I'm a little unsure of it's all black and white, has Mark actually done it, or is there a twist to come?

Sarah's boss is actually irritating me now, he's such a stereotypical dinosaur, you wonder how with his attitude, he's managed to stay in his job, it's a lazy characterisation.

Rather gripping.

8/10.

Episode 2

The second episode makes it clear that this is about PC Lizzie Adama and DS Sarah Collins. There stories criss cross which can add to the confusion.

DC Steve Bradshaw (Jimmy Akingbola) is very much the second fiddle for now. It might be because Akingbola is also in the US show Bel Air and availability might have been an issue.

What is not in dispute, Collins is not having much luck with her abrasive superiors. This time Inspector Kieran Shaw has a go at her for placing inexperienced Adama in danger. When Adama did not follow orders.

Collins thinks she has made a breakthrough, broke down the main suspect. She has an unnerving feeling that it is all too easy. Someone else remains at large.

Adama has a run in with Mark Brannon, the main suspect in the death of his girlfriend which places her in danger.

Again it does at time feel like a list of cliches and paper thin characters. It is hard to get involved too much with a story that is very much by the numbers.
