Fantastic movie. Last 20 minutes of the movie was outstanding. Climax was out of the box thinking. Ashwin and chandan nailed their roles. Bgm was sensational. The way of narration of the climax makes me completely love the film. The way every character was introduced with their respective Bgm was very much notable. The Background Score gave very much life to the characters and the film. Many would have come for chandan but they will definitely fall for ashwin. Man he stole the show. Must watch. Infact it could be watched several times. Beautiful experience for a cinema lover. Guys don't miss it in theatres.

Finally, I have to say that "Thugs of ramaghada" is a nice and interesting action movie consisted of some unpredictable plot twists so, I highly recommend everyone to watch it because I am sure you will enjoy it. KGF, Kantara, Vedha If you like any of those movies, you're definitely in the right place. Unfortunately it's missing something which is rather elusive...The camera barely even brings him into focus, you've got a cast who all performed well but none really stood out. Great cast not boring and convincing performances, impressive camera work outside the some scene with the white gloves.

Even if you don't like Action Crime (my case), this movie is a sure bet. It has excellent actors, a good plot and it was well shot. The best Action movie in years.
I sometimes see people rate a movie highly and complain about the other low scores people have given it. Irks me particularly if the movie/series was actually poor. This film is not that!
A well directed, well acted Crime thriller with enough twists to keep you interested throughout the movie.
Gritty, but also nuanced on who you end up rooting for in the movie. I genuinely can't understand the low ratings for this.

Screenplay is not like any another movie with different plot and in fact the climax also do excites much as we havent seen any movie of the same plot with similar execution and still the movie is quite impressive due to it's some great action and great performance. This movie can be watched. And that's the merit of everyone in making this movie : whit such a small budget , a such a really good movie . Not perfect , but not bad at all . Money well spend .Can we just enjoy the movie for it's entertainment value. It was a good movie. Can we just enjoy the movie for it's entertainment value. It was a good movie.

Whenever an action movie is made in India, I think of a couple of check boxes for it to be a good movie :
An interesting premise -Charismatic Lead -Compelling antagonist -Solid Music -Killer BGM -Witty Dialogues -Good Action Sequences -Third Act which isn't dragged out -An engaging screenplay Thugs of Ramaghada has it all.
It's very very rare for a Kannada Action movie which is set abroad, to check all the boxes and yet end up being a fun watch.
Chandan Raj is excellent as the leading man as he charms his way through the action and kick ass dialogues. Ashwin Hassan is fantastic as the Co-Actor, and their chemistry basically seals the deal for this movie.
A Kannada movie which has a good plot, better direction, acting with some kickass action and some banging music.
Do watch it.

This storyline is nice, so is the idea. Chandan Raj did his role well. Very Impressive in his very first movie. Overall a great package that us as an audience would love to watch.
I would really suggest you to just pull any of your loved one and go watch this movie and you will be more than pleased after watching it. Entertainment Guaranteed. The chemistry between the lead pair is good nothing over the top. Aravind character is extremely sweet and lovable.

Good action film with a basic premise, Ashwin hassan plays the role well, his performance make the film that little bit better, I thought Chandan raj was good too.it kicks in quick with loads of Action-themed crime and heavy action, resulting in simple but surprisingly genius entertainment. It's applaudable how a action movie manages to tread the fine line between being condescending towards its own audience and being satirical towards the public at large with absolute finesse.
The film is entirely devoid of melodrama and filled with grey characters that the sanctimonious section of the masses would find hard to side and connect with. The film, thus, is a courageous attempt in a plethora of ways and calls for a necessary viewing. Also one of the finest and action packed movie ever created. A feel of refreshing movie after a long list of never ending flops by the kannada industry. Cheers to both the actors and directors for creating nothing short of a masterpiece worth watching. I'll be honest. I went in thinking I wasn't going to like it too much but I'm glad me wanting to support these actors outweighs any skepticism. I don't think the trailers gave it justice.
A surprisingly different take on the script making. Heavy on the action that came across as realistic & succinctly made the point. A couple of well hidden twists that caught me. I think the actors were really cool taking on a movie like this that would be considered "beneath them". Sometimes all it takes is a simple and great story without all the CGI we've been rolling in over the past 10 years. Must watch kannada movie.

A bit sloppy but great twists and adrenaline filled ride! Ashwin Hassan is so awesome as the good protogonist, the bulk of the film is intense and it has you continuously wanting to know what happens next. Directot is great as always so is everyone else. I would highly recommend thugs of ramaghada for fans of crime/action genres. Just enough twists and unpredictability to make this better than most thrillers. Whilst some of it is pretty simple the lead performance is great and it's pacing is pretty much perfect. Much better than average if unfortunately not spectacular. Locations are fine. Bgm is good.

Wow whatta movie. Went to theatre trusting few reviews and this movie turned out to be a blast. It had action, great satire, very different scence, great storyline and a twist in the climax which India is waiting for many years. Fantastic acting by Chandan Raj and Ashwin Hassan. Actress also done well.

There are times I felt that a certain scene could have made better to give the viewer a satisfying moment but that would be a totally different movie. The chemistry between the characters is maintained perfectly through the night scenes and through the entire movie.
This movie is magical in its own way. Basically the cinematography is excellent. After watching this, I regret having it delayed so much. Karthik Maralabhavi is a promising director and he has proven himself in his later movies. This I think is a turning point for him towards that. I think this is really underrated and that could be because of the viewers expecting something different. Don't keep them high. Just enjoy it simply and stay with the flow.

This movie was pretty good overall. Intense with some solid, hard-hitting action scenes. The story was very predictable but still enjoyable. Start to finish suspense thriller. Suspense that takes you in a twisted situation. Decent enough with a few gripping action scenes to have kept my interest for a couple of hours but a bit thin on plot.
Worth watching but unlikely to stand out in the crime movie genre. The plus side to the story was that it was a simple, yet entertaining crime story, with an intriguing first set to get everyone hooked. There were a few scenes that were dialogue heavy, and it got a little dry at points.

I think Its outdated typical Kannada movie, and I really hated the plot of the movie initially but now that i have watched it, I cant help but say, that is one of the Best Action movies sandalwood has ever delivered to us.
Its of course not an extraordinary movie, but the director has really turned a very ordinary story into a very sweet romantic movie full of heart, which is definitely worth a second watch ! :)

This is probably Karthik Maralabhavi first full fledged action movie . I had a lot of expectations from it and it turned out and out satisfied film ever.
The plot is quite interesting. Engaging Screenplay and actions also blood thirsty for revenge. However ,the problem is that within sometime, it gets pretty monotonous. But its also interesting.
The Action Sequences present works pretty well . BGM is amazing, especially the one you heard in its trailer. The climax is a bit crazy and still left me scratching my head.
Overall, a just about okayish film that will be enjoyed for its performances and few action chase sequences.

I liked this movie much more than it's screenplay deserved. It is not such a cliched story, where you see all the twists coming a mile away that it becomes a very enjoyable because everything else is just top notch. The acting and directing are what makes this movie such an enjoyable ride. Ashwin hassan continues to prove he is a force to be reckoned and one of the best of his generation and all the supporting cast is really good. The action sequences are all very well made and I was never bored. This is the classic case where the talent involved deserved a better screenplay. Chandan raj gives his best.

Great work by team. I hope they will come up with good story and great screenplay. 1st thing to say screenplay and direction are too good. From very 1st scene you will be engaged to the story . For every 15-20 mins of story building there will be sudden engaging scenes which make audiences keep on engaged with the story. The location are too good. Particularly the the shots in nigt are too awesome. The movie doesn't allow for a blink of eye.-The background music is just wow!!!-Griping story. Over the years, we have watched actioners in Kannada consistently leaving much to be desired so much so that we concluded that this genre just comes with its limitations. Thugs of ramaghada breaks that myth. Billed as a slick-actioner, this film doesn't reduce itself to worshipping of shirtless male bodies, genre-contradicting slow-motion effects, non-sensically infused item numbers, melodrama, unfunny jokes or lazy writing clubbed with flying cars and blasting CGI. Right from the start, the director takes the genre seriously and moves at a hyper pace. It doesn't let go of its strong grasp with reality and its conviction for the story.

This is a male centric movie with a lot of action which will definitely give the goosebumps to the audience who enjoy this genre.

Before going to theaters, there has been rumour that I heard about this movie that it seems long ans stretched. Someone has given one of the worse review to this movie. But I still took a chance to watch this movie. Its gives me a greatfull Experiance. The screenplay was so tightly woven and every emotion was there to be seen and felt. If did not see the movie till now then better go and watch it soon coz there is heart and soul in the movie n along with these characters. Film is amazing nice story line, music, comedy everything at best.
Numbers might be low because of some sandalwood mentality about movies these days. But definitely it will do wonders on OTT and global television.
It will remain in hearts forever..one who can watch it once.. i have seen in theatre.waiting to watch one more time on OTT.
Ashwin always tried something different to audience and in a every possible way to deliver such amazing performance. No matter what numbers came but movie is worth to watch not even once but twice. Always a masala or romantic songs won't work. Movies of this genre should be appreciated.
