Using Budapest as Jolly Joker of all times
sztangabi30 December 2022
The 3rd series is very enjoyable and eventful filled with actualities.

Only one thing is that using Budapest's venues as Russian and Check locations for Moscow and Prague is a bit disturbing. This also causes some recognizable mistakes. For instance, when the story switches back to the location of Prague which is written in the bottom left corner while a car with Hungarian plate is approaching in the scene; or when the total shows Prague and its castle with the Karl's Bridge in front, where Jack Ryan stands and talks on the earphone with his Russian asset, while the next cut is from the Margaret-bridge in Budapest. You can see its yellow railing and even the Hungarian crown with the cross on top hewn out of stone.

Might be well-known, it is much cheaper and easier to film in Budapest, also because of the great support of the authorities and the historical buildings that are still standing, but a sort of cliche as well is to write Moscow on the screen while showing the Buda castle or the Citadel or Jack walking with the Russian asset in the Vermezo or standing alone in front of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and, in places, the yellow tram (line 2) running in the background or the National Museum is even sold for opera house of Russian ballet performance.

Same as it was for the Spy Game, The Dept or Homeland, etc.

Real life international stories.jack Ryan is good, but I'm real.

As a Infantry Marine who had been in combat, a Cold War, Desert Storm and War on Drugs veteran. Oh Yeah also, I'm one of the Ragamuffins. Born, raised and trained at Tha Home

I can tell you some stories. Destroyed Armies with Generals nicknamed MadDog and Kaos. Commanding officers call sign, 'Evil-One". Also argued policy with the White House.

Plus, fixed submarines. I'm considered a US asset. Retired now. I can say that I've had my knife at the throats of Spetznaz commandos and KGB spooks. 1990 START treaty inspections NSB Kings Bay Ga. They tested our defenses pre-inspection. US Nukes. I've been in the same room, and one of the few armed with Soviet Russians and US nuclear weapons. Earned it. We caught them. As Hunt for Red October was premiering in the theater. This is what I was doing. Those KGB agents, they still live, You know them as Putin and Peskov. They know the K-Bay swamp spiders caught them. Cold war fights in the swamps.

Oh also, ridden a Ton of high explosives into battle. Arty hitting around me, oil wells on fire. Mines everywhere. Even have pics. You know I'm not lying.

Hung off the side of a submarine with someone holding my boot.

Jason Bourne Jack Ryan and Ethan Hunt have nothing on me. They are fiction. I'm a Marine.

Argued policy with the White House, Sticky fingers Sam. Warned em.

I see the Russians have deployed SARMAT II.

Love these shows but I've lived the real life, and these are but a few of my stories.

Keep up the good work but expand your stories.
