Pathetic Story, Waste of Resources
puravmehta-3444712 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Director had great resources at disposal and some very good actors to work with. Story and Screenplay wasn't written by professional but some juvenile and director just used it as is. Everything was all over the place and some amazing actors were seen over acting. Leave the lead actors aside, screen presence of even new comers / supporting actors was great but if someone is to be blamed for this torcher then it's the director and the writer. Don't waste your time or money in cinema or on OTT. You'll thank me for it. If you watch it, I'm sorry for your loss (of time and sanity). I'll have to give one star minimum and that's why, this movie deserves nothing thanks to makers.

Very bad movie
discardmedia13 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is a very bad movie and not paisa wasool at all.

Very bad script and screenplay, fully incoherent editing with weird jump cuts like this first time producer writer director some old fellow called Yogesh Verma has made. Its being billed as some sort of failed love story between the jaded wife of a corrupt police officer who meets her sweet soft college romance love after 30 years. There is zero chemistry between the lead pair who are both flop TV actors in those saas bahu type daytime serials.

The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because of a song copied from Rabindranath Tagore Rabindrasangeet and because the foolish producer has sunk and lost his life savings to finance Cobrapost Operation Karaoke scumbags. More fool he.

Avoid: Soap box movie with televsion actors and new director
namedefense16 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Except for a few location scenes this film has absolutely nothing to do with Shimla (a hill station in North India). The director who is also the writer and also the producer has tried to pass of this piece of warmed over horse dung as an ageless timeless tomance for the ages. The movie keeps swinging between a old Yoga teacher who meets his first love in a street encounter with extended flashbacks to 30 years agao when they were feeling each other up in college. Like doomed love this pair is seperated by the husband of the lady (played by washed up TV actress Gauri Pradhan) who is some kind of instensively corrupt and over the top police officer. This is the kind of stuff to be broadcast at 5 AM in the morning before the religious broadcasts begin.

It's imperative to express gratitude to Angad and Nikhita. Their performances were truly the heart and soul of "A Winter's Tale at Shimla." They brought authenticity to their roles, making the audience root for them from start to finish. Their ability to make viewers laugh, cry, and experience a whirlwind of emotions speaks volumes about their craft. Both, playing the young couple whose chemistry is palpable from their first on-screen meeting. Angad, with his magnetic charisma, brilliantly portrays the role of a young man torn between ambition and love. His nuanced performance allows the audience to deeply empathize with his internal conflicts. Nikhita, on the other hand, is the breath of fresh air that Shimla's cold winter needs. She is vivacious, free-spirited, and provides a perfect counterbalance to Angad's intense character. Their sparkling moments together are the highlights of the film.
