Fairly solid
unforgiven-7750531 December 2023
It does get kinda implausible at points but I liked the characters enough to overlook the story holes. Sara Canning is very good .male leads are okay but kinda typical..some good funny moments and some heart felt moments too .not much of a surprise ending but getting there was good.if you just want to be entertained it was good.acting from Canning nade it seem better than it should have been.as new Hallmark not as strong as some other newer releases but I enjoyed it.it was well made and chemistry of actors was very real I know people like those portrayed in movie lol so maybe that made it feel better .not classic but solid.

A Rare Funny Find

I'm grading on a curve, because you have to with these movies, but this is one of the more pleasant surprises I have encountered in a while, and one of the best of this Christmas season. Marcus Rosner is as relaxed and funny as I've seen him, and Sara Canning is great. Yes, the peripheral stuff is average, but there are a bunch of good moments between the two of them and the actress who plays Sara's character's sister. It starts slow but stick with it and you will enjoy a Hallmark movie that doesn't bother with all the idiotic moments that so many others for some bizarre reason feel the need to include.

An Interesting Take On An Over-Used Trope
blroth-279194 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Spoilers: This movie contained the "fake dating" trope, but it was different than most. I really enjoyed it. The leads (characters: Tiffany and Peter) had great chemistry and worked well together--so many funny moments that had me laughing. There were also a few awkward and cringe moments, but they actually added to the humor. I can say that this Hallmark movie was better than many I've seen.

The main reason I liked this fake dating movie is because there was not a big public "reveal" of the fake relationship. Most movies like this do, and it can feel very embarrassing. I liked how things went down here. The lead, Tiffany, privately reveals the scheme to her male best friend, Brett, and he hears her out without blowing up. Although there are a few miscommunications, Tiffany and Peter sort out their issues more reasonably than characters of other movies.

There was a part that I thought was completely unnecessary and awkward near the end. Brett's girlfriend, Matilda, confronts Tiffany at the worst possible time-right when Tiffany is having a moment with Peter. I thought this was so random and weird, but I still laughed about it anyway.

Hilarious and charming movie...I would recommend!
