Hilarious

Warning: Spoilers
The way this show continues to deliver after this long is truly something special. They somehow made an entire episode about Japanese toilets, tied it into JFK's murder cohesively and it worked great. This episode had me rolling a handful of times especially when Randy takes the bullet.

I can't give it a ten because the ending was bit flat without a message to be learned here but I did find the anti-toilet paper industry message to be entertaining.

Hopefully people watch episodes like the first three of this season and realize that South Park is in fact still going strong and still has plenty of legs left.

It was fun but strange

Warning: Spoilers
Honestly I might have a bad sense of humor but this episode made me laugh a lot. But the second half of the episode was kind of strange and the plot kind of went everywhere. The assasination and jfk references were pretty funny, though. And the toilet paper conspiracy was so ridiculous that it was funny, I wasn't sure if it was referencing anything specific, so I didn't really get it. But the funniest part to me was when people would just listen to others doing their business on the toilet. It was just so strange that it got a lot of laughs out of me. And the tonal shift from one half of the episode to the other was very interesting, because I did not expect the plot to go that way. I would usually get annoyed at another Randy episode, but this one was actually fun. I liked how this episode addressed that the Marsh family is suddenly above everybody else because of their success in the whole weed thing. So Randy was acting very high and mighty while Stan got made fun of for being the new rich kid. It was an interesting way for their story to go and a new perspective. So, in general, it was a good randy episode, although a little strange.

Well, it deserves credit

Warning: Spoilers
This is another episode about toilets, but I should acknowledge it doesn't get too graphic with it. It features an odd story of Randy Marsh being compared to John F. Kennedy after getting an expensive toilet with him being shot and everything. I guess it was a reference to JFK conspiracy theories. Would that make Stan like John F. Kennedy Jr.? I'm glad he wasn't in a plane crash. At first, it seemed incredibly obvious the shooter was Randy's prostate doctor.

It turns out he actually wasn't! The funniest part was the joke with the police chief thinking he was being told a joke. That's a callback to another joke they made! I was thinking that it would lead up to something bigger. Wait, 70% of people don't use toilet paper?! This was well written and kind of interesting for the show. ***1/2.

BEST SP Episode I've seen in a couple of years!
yerk2020202015 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It was pure and simple. A man sees a toilet, a man falls in love with a toilet. There's nothing like a bond between a man and his toilet, because we're all bound to our toilets since we first sat on them. The human and toilet relationship is so profoundly and realistically portrayed in this episode. Everyone who tries the toilet, immediately realizes that that's how we should all go pooping. No one should have to poop while crouching down, in a field somewhere, behind a bush, or in a desert full of sand where they can bury their sins. We all love our toilets, and Randy Marsh is all of us, if we tried the bidet.

Best of the season so far.
exblue3 March 2023
This is great. It's such a simple and stupid plot that just, works. Cupid Ye and The Worldwide Privacy tour were incredibly weak due to how committed south park is to trying to cover "current topics" unfortunately they missed the mark because the topics they covered are months out of date and nobody really cared anymore. I missed these simple episodes that still have commentary but aren't so in your face about it that it becomes a turn off. Another highlight now that they aren't focused on outdated trendy topics, the episodes are funny again! The last 2 episodes had so much dead air with lines and jokes that ended up making a majority of the jokes fall flat and resulting in a kind of boring episode. This episode however is just rapidfire with the jokes and doesn't let up. I love the ending too where after stan unearthes a conspiracy about his dad he gathers south park to tell the conspiracy only for randy to come in and tell them that everythings fine and they should go home now. Great episode, I hope they make more like these because goddamn this season started really weak.

Strong 8/10.

Every time I see the Farm, I cringe.

Dear Creators of South Park,

For the next episode, could you please move the Marshes back to South Park? I'm really over Tegridy Farms. Especially Randy.

There was a time when his character was funny, but moving to Tegridy Farms ended him. It was cute for a few episodes, but not entire seasons or overly extended episodes. Randy was better as an up and coming female teen singer than a lost, brainless, burn out. That's Towelie's job.

I really thought SP was headed back to basics this season. Maybe next week.

Also, just my opinion, but the "toilet story" would have been better if Cartman was the main character.

"But Moooom, I need a 15 thousand dollar toilet."

Not as funny as the last episode but still good
backup-503622 March 2023
It's weird that instead of big pharma or big oil, who are way more relevant right now, South Park is like - "big toilet paper is the current thing we should make an entire episode about."

And there's Hogwarts Legacy thrown in in the beginning, clearly just because it was a hot topic for a week. As a joke it led nowhere, clearly just shoehorned in because the creators always want to throw in relevant things into the show, but can't really make them work into it in a funny way... Like this time around.

It wasn't a set up for anything, like you may hope; not even a joke - it's just "here's a thing people are talking about right now." Not the first time South Park does this, and it disappoints a bit.

But yeah, still an interesting episode, just not exactly funny. They go about how toilet paper is wasteful and inefficient, and it's one of those cases where you can't tell if the South Park creators are being serious or completely joking, or perhaps trying to use "big toilet paper" as a metaphor for big pharma, but I really doubt it. There's rarely deeper meaning, even if people love to search for it.

Not that there needed to be. Some better jokes would've been nice, though. No one likes the Randy weed farm sub blot. In fact, back when that got introduced is pretty much where the show started falling off.

Not good
Narcissist002 March 2023
This is a Randy episode. I think everyone will agree that the Randy/Weed episodes are becoming tiresome. I won't spoil it but I have a feeling the creators know this and something happens here that makes me think it'll be the last Randy episode. Other than Stan the rest of the boys are absent. First couple of episodes were really good but it definitely takes a dip in quality here. Well I have nothing else to say other than I hope it gets better as I really enjoyed the Harry episode and the Cupid Me episode was also good. This is just not good and that's all I can say. I'll give it a 3/10. You'll like this if you like toilet humour.

South Park vs Toilet Paper
vincentviolet-650714 March 2023
This is typical new South Park. There are maybe two things I like about the episode but the rest is just kind of boring. It has gone from being and show that was consistently funny all the way through to something that you can just have on in the background and don't care if you miss parts of it or never see it again. They did a full episode about toilets and toilet paper. The only bit I liked was that the fancy Japanese toilet plays calm New Age music. So the part where he is buying it at the shop is funny, but apart from that there is not really anything to it. I also was surprised to learn just how much of an impact making toilet paper has on the environment, but that is just a 'did you know that x y z per year' type of fact that a person who is bad at small talk would tell you, it is not funny. What this could have worked as is if they condensed it right down to a few minutes and it was the side story in good episode, so the story is mostly about Carmen and Butters becoming stockbrokers to parody Wall Street (or something) and then every so often it cuts to Stan's dad with his fancy new Japanese toilet, but as a full episode it did not work. I just don't think Matt and Trey care anymore.
