Both Penthouse and Playboy softcore videos in the 1990s proliferated, and were tolerable views -vapid but nonetheless lovely posing by busty models. This one shot on striking Miami and Costa Rican locations is on the level of the Sports Illustrated calendar shoots of the era.

Level of sexual explicitness is gradually increased over the course of the hour, beginning with mainly peekaboo R rated visuals most of the way, but culminating in split-beaver and highly suggestive poses in the final vignette (of eight) of Penthouse Pet Gina LaMarca posing on a muddy beach.

Besides Gina, superstar Lene Hefner is featured in a scene also showcasing Andrea Mountjay, but with no touching. By contrast, softcore lesbian sex is featured for other couples including blonde on blonde Angel Hart & J. C. Summers.

I knew I was in trouble the moment this video started. What a cheap looking dated feeling intro. From the font used for the title to pieces of low quality video in the montage. I can't believe this was released by Penthouse ... in 1997. Watching this was mildly painful experience.

First scene has Jackie Simpson on a beach where it takes a long time for her to get naked and there's this horrible music track playing too. I've got the "disconnect your heart strings" lyric burnt into my brain now. There's two girl/girl scenes. Shelly Jones & Leigh Anderson in a western themed one. Then the blonde duo of Angel Hart and J. C. Summers (see box cover) in a lounge chair. They aren't exciting. They aren't particularly shot well.

Lene Hefner & Andrea Mountjoy pose in front of partially inflated hot air balloons on the ground. Yes you read that right. Tori Wydell & Tiffany Cara pose in water near the rocks. JJ poses in a jungle riverbed with safari clothing on and some initial monkey sound effects. Tonya Goodson goes topless parasailing before posing on a beach. Then you get an appearance from Gina LaMarca. She looks great per usual and provides some risque poses, but it's really short.

'Sultry Sensations' is not very titillating. Next to zero effort went into releasing this. Penthouse went to Costa Rica to capture this material? What a waste of a trip. You can easily skip this title if you haven't already seen it as the visuals are nothing special that you can't see done elsewhere better.
