Syd vs Geel, at the SCG.

Grand Final rematch, with both teams out of the 8 late in the season. Key ins and outs, with Warner out for the Swans, Cameron the Cats and Dangerfield returning. Campbell kicks the opener for Sydney, with a good pass from Gulden. Heeney with back to back set-shot shockers. Geelong takes its chances and hits the lead, up 9 at quarter-time. McDonald kicks back to back goals for Sydney in the 2nd, Hickey misses from the goal-square though. The Swans having dominated, lead by just 8 in a low-scoring half, in good conditions. Sydney's poor kicking on goal continues, Hickey misses another one. There's hardly any score in the 3rd, Sydney lead by just 1 at 3-quarter time. Campbell kicks an important goal to keep Sydney in it late. Heeney misses multiple rushed shots to win it, the result a draw. The hit-outs were even, as well as the clearances, the Swans had more of the footy and still applied 17 more tackles. The inside 50's were even, Sydney with 7 more scoring shots, but kicked woefully, including many out on the full. Gulden best afield, with 26 disposals, 6 inside 50's, 9 tackles, 6 intercepts, 698 metres gained and an assist. Blakey 29 disposals and 7 intercepts. For Geelong, Blicavs 16 disposals, 2 contested marks, 6 hit-outs, 7 clearances, 7 tackles and a goal. Miers 27 disposals, 6 inside 50's, a goal and 3 assists. Stewart 25 disposals, 5 intercepts and 641 metres gained. Jack Henry 2 contested marks and 10 intercepts.
