So the last battle of Napoleon is 2 times the Titanic sinking or 4 times the JFK assassination and precedes Lincoln's emancipation for 50 years. I think world history keeps accelerating : so if Napoleon & Lincoln could have adapted easily to the life in 1912, they would have been disoriented by the 60s and totally lost today !

To commemorate this anniversary that my government keeps into silence, i watched this historic show instead. Actually my episode was Season 9 episode 89. In 160 minutes, it gives a great visual biography of this man from his Corsica birth to his St Helene death. We go into his historic places, we discover works of art (paintings) and we watch clips of several movies about him ! The episode is very documented and at the end, it's hard to define the man as he does lasting achievements in a bad of blood ! In a way, later we can find a dramatic repeat of another European leader as much as mad about England and having eaten the dust by the Russians! Anyway, nobody remembers that Waterloo was a defeat as Napoleon has finished by winning the only impossible battle, the one against death as he become a true myth forever!
