The show opens with a Paul Bearer and the Undertaker vignette. We are shown a clip from Wrestling Challenge of Jim Cornette complaining about Yokozuna being tricked into defending his title against the Undertaker in a casket match. Vince McMahon introduces Johnny Polo as the color commentator of the week. The first match is Yokozuna squashing Dan Dubiel. We are shown the ending of a Lex Luger versus Quebecer Jacque from WWF Superstars. Vince McMahon interviews Lex Luger. We see a "Sparky" Plugg vignette. The Smoking Gunns face Bam Bam Bigelow and Bastion Booger in the only competitive match of the week. Todd Pettengill gives the Royal Rumble Report. Jeff Jarrett faces a jobber named John something or other. We see the ending of the Johnny Polo versus Marty Jannetty match from last week. This leads to Jannetty and the 1-2-3 Kid coming out challenging the Quebecers to a match next week. Razor Ramon does an anti-smoking PSA. The main event is Shawn Michaels versus Brian Wash, who gets in a surprising amount of offense. If you were hoping that a new year would mean a better RAW think again.
