A decent show, but not worth watching unless you're a real fan of the cast

This show is OK. It's not great, but not that bad either. The music is on par with what you'd expect from a light-hearted animation series like this, The character design is pretty good, albeit not very original and the voice-acting is definitely of an adequate level.

The biggest problems I have with this show are the animation quality, which has some lines clipping in each other (a good example is the necklace of the succubus in the first episode, it disappears in her neck when she looks the other way) and the animations themselves are pretty stiff. The other problem would be the writing. You see things coming from miles away and the jokes are very childish, especially the innuendo ones. Maybe you like it, but there are definitely better series out there.

Cheeky, Cheesy, and Fantastic

I have to say up front that a lot of the enjoyment from this series is derived from actually being a fan or follower of the YouTube personalities that lent their voices and expertise to this project. That being said, the voice acting is superb! Also the story line is dorky and cheesy in the extreme, poking fun at D&D and other table top RPG's in a delightful and entertaining fashion.

The material is geared towards teenage and adult audiences and I would most definitely not recommend it for younger viewers. A great deal of the humor is sexual in nature, but this in no way detracts from the overall charm and humor of the cartoon as a whole.

For anyone looking for a ridiculously good time in a D&D-style setting with far above par voice acting, this is a must see.

Very good animation, character's are hilarious.

The animation of the film is outstanding, even tho it probably has low budget it looks really good!, the rendering is pretty decent for a Youtube series, and about the characters... Well it's Husky... XD what else could you ask for, also you got Dodger... Ro and a bunch of other guys who i can't name but seem cool, the soundtrack is also pretty good, you got some funny humor, the story seems pretty fun, the movie itself is made by well known Youtube members and they all teamed up to make this happen.

Pros: Outstanding animation, Pretty epic music, Cool narrators, Husky is the main character :D

Cons: None that i can think of.

Broken quest
Dyzerio25 July 2013
The first episode was hilarious from start to end, and after husky set a bad stretch mark I was shortly able to enjoy episode 2. Beware however there is a bit of adult humor which of course only made me laugh more. If there was one improvement i would really like it if the episodes were more than 4 minutes but it is a "passion project" so they make them as long as they can. I for one would by a DVD set of the series if they continue to amaze me and if they release one. I cannot see how any of these you-tuber's subscriber bases would not like it because i would believe that most are semi nerdy or nerdy like me. I hope with all my heart that this show succeeds and husky and the cast can "roll in it" actually making money.

With regards,

A member of the husky fanbase

Feels forced
ryanbuhrman10 August 2013
Broken Quest feels like every joke is forced, and the appeal mainly comes from the popularity of its actors/actresses. Without the exposure by Polaris, Dodger, Ro, Jesse, Husky, etc. there's no way it would thrive as well as it has been. The animation is unappealing, and the acting is pretty meh. The jokes are just the worst part, when they should be the reason you would even watch. Every joke feels so forced to the point of cringe-worthy writing sometimes. It's easy to see how hard the script is trying to be funny, and that's just not fun to watch.

I don't see anything likable about this show, and that's coming from someone who actually does admire a lot of people on Polaris involved in Broken Quest. Mainly, the writing needs work because right now all I can see Broken Quest appealing to is either kids in their pre teen years, or fans of the cast wearing rose tinted shades.

Not very interesting.
christman-dan25 July 2013
Pretty bland show with low brow comedy and low budget animation. Interesting characters and personalities but nothing to set the show apart other than the cast consisting of well-liked you-tubers. Take them away from the cast, and the show would probably not be as well received as it has been. Take my words with a grain of salt, because when writing this there have only been two episodes. I hope the show improves, but right now, it is another "foolish lead embarks on journey to save girl, with help of other characters who banter with each other on the way", so in my opinion, a low budget "Shrek". Comedy is very subjective, so I may be the only person who doesn't enjoy this, but all of the jokes feel massively forced and I find myself cringing every time a joke is told.
