This was a really awkward show to watch. I'm not referring to the subject matter of the show here, it's just awkward to watch it because the comedy in it is so very bad. I liked some of the actors but this show was just really hard to get through because of the bad stories and writing. Many bad jokes requiring the rolling of eyes, FYI.

Excellent Trans Comedy by Trans Artists!

I'm happy that we're seeing more trans representation in the media recently, but it's still the case that almost all trans characters are reduced to their transness as a personality.
Not so for the Switch! With a trans and nonbinary cast and creative team, this show is a trrasure trove of messy, hilarious, human people who also happen to be trans. THIS is what the trans and gender nonconforming community deserves when it comes to representation.
I peed myself laughing. More than once.

Quirky and Fun

The Switch is an inventive and creative show that dares to test the boundaries of society and has fun doing it. The shows strength is the ability to present many questions and issues in reference to the seldom addressed issue of transitioning, and does it in an entertaining, quirky, and fun way. The cast is fantastically expressive, the one-off cut away scenes are hilarious and perfectly timed, and each episode deals with an extremely relevant social scenario. Overall the show is quirky, odd, enjoyable, and overall just straight up fun to watch!
Heartwarming tale of a fish out of water and her bumbling contract killing roommate

Warning: Spoilers
Speaking as a completely unbiased and perfectly objective viewer (who also *coincidentally* happens to be the showrunner and co-star). This show is frickin' awesome. We worked with a wonderful group of people to make something heartwarming and violent.
Uh... I mean heartwarming and *hilarious.*
But, yeah, it's a sitcom with a body count.
Don't worry. All the bodies are oil lobbyists who were trying to kill everyone else on the planet.
I just wish there were more. Episodes that is.

Turning lived experience into comedy

Being trans can be really tough, especially when a lot of people are so uninformed about issues these days. It's really nice to see a show with so much representation, diversity, and heart. I only wish they could have gotten a second season!
