Intense development!
and_mikkelsen3 April 2024
This was another thrilling experience that had me on edge the entire time! It is clear now that we are getting closer to the end, and things are getting more serious and we start to feel the consequences of it all and the power of the empire!

This episode has our characters realize that the empire will never stop searching for them and that they will have to focus on the bigger mission.. while they still can!

The tension was incredible and the moments of action were well animated and directed!

The ending was a great way to make the rest of the show very exciting as well as leaving you excited to see how this whole situation will be resolved and what the consequences will be!

A GREAT two-parter!

No going back

Warning: Spoilers
An episode that was bound to happen, but still a welcome one.

This was really well made. The siege was devastating to watch, but the pacing and action were simply exceptional at times, harkening back to the better episodes of this series and The Clone Wars as well. The Empire is ruthless, as is that strange shadow clone that doesn't seem to want to give up (is this Tech? Or Commander Cody?). Things just got worse and worse.

I think they left it off on a good cliffhanger too. I genuinely thought for a moment that maybe Omega tricked them, that she may have a second tracker that isn't the one she just gave over. But the Crosshair missed his shot (yet again) so I'm really not sure.

So, we've got four episodes left. SURELY we're past filler stuff right? Surely the next episode isn't just gonna be the folks on Pabu recovering and not actually progressing the story further past that. I don't know, maybe they'll regroup with Rex's crew and prepare for a final battle? Maybe that'll be a later episode. It just seems a little odd that there's only four episodes left and not two or three. Maybe I'm over-thinking this.

Still, this was a great episode.

Powerful, tense, tragic! Masterclass!
moritzherz3 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
After the great first part of our double feature fhe second part tops the first in every way delivering us the best episode of the season so far!

Fbi special agent clone wastes no time and tracks the pirate down. He gets the coordinates of Pabu and confirms the target. And then it happens.

The Havorc Marauder is gone, forever. Wrecker gets injured badly and the empire arrives with a venator attack cruiser to eliminate the chances of escape. They a roaming the streets in search for Omega, threatening wiman and children. Omega, who is lighthearted cannot watch this happening and surrenders to the empire. But not without a plan. Crosshair has to hit the ship with a tracking device, so they can finally get the coordinates of Mount Tantiss. The whole season he has issues hitting the target. This could be his moment of redemption.

But it is not. He misses the ship and Omega is gone again. He failed. The Bad Batch failed. Everything went wrong. This is pure tragedy.

Honestly, I did not expect such a blast! I hoped for it, being a huge fan of the show, but after the last two episodes even I had my doubts.

But Dave Filoni and his crew delivered again and set up the hype for the remaining 4 episodes. Now, they have no time left for filler episodes. This is serious business! I hope they make the most of it!

PS: I have to make a big shout out for Kevin Kiner, who's soundtrack electrifies me every single minute. John Williams could not have made it better!

Excellent again...

Warning: Spoilers
Wow. Once again when the show needs to be serious and powerful, it delivers. This episode, like the last, really shows the power of the Empire and is doing a great job of accelerating into the finale.

First of all: music and visuals were once again amazing. Kevin Kiner and the visual team are doing wonders for this show.

After a couple meh, inconsequential episodes, this week's pair got the story moving again. This episode did a great job of making the heroes lose and in a realistic way. The way their plan didn't work initially to steal the shuttle (that X trooper shooting the pilot was so good) and the way in which Omega decided to give herself up was well done. Only slight critique would be that crosshair could have been a little more emotional and considered how Hunter might react (but I'm sure we'll see that reaction next episode). I was surprised when we didn't see a face reveal from the X trooper but that will for sure come soon (I think it's Cody but maybe it's just a random guy who knows).

And obviously that ending left me shocked. I wish he had his helmet off after he missed so we could see his reaction. But even with the helmet on you could sense the dread.

Overall, great episode and two parter and I'm really looking forward to next week and seeing what will happen.

I really wish they added this

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed this episode but thought that it was rather lacking in intimidation. Pabu was a secure home for the Batch and so an attack on it should feel absolutely crushing. I think the best route this could've been accomplished was through the torching of the city. The threat was brought up only for it to be called off by Omega's presence? You'd think the Empire wouldn't leave any witnesses during such an important raid, but I guess not? It could've been inconsistent and allowed for a few survivors (such as Wrecker and the others). Such a choice would have immortalized this episode as one of the darkest pieces of Star Wars media, and it would've been perfectly appropriate to drive the stakes with. It would've reinforced the Empire as a simply cruel force that displays its true intentions only when necessary. I just think that fulfilling of that style through Pabu's destruction would've been an incredible writing decision that would've filled the gap for tension that I've had for most of this season.

Very Good!

Warning: Spoilers
Finally another episode around the quality of episode 3! This episode had a lot of really cool stuff and overall did a great job at introducing a whole lot of new conflict! The raid on Pabu was really well done and the Empire were kinda intimidating (although still relatively incompetent in a gun fight lmao). I do think that like other episodes of the show however that there is a lack of tension even in moments that should feel tense, I also feel like once again the characters themselves really aren't the most engaging but that's fine. Overall very good episode with a few things to be desired!

Why the hell are they still on Pabu??
zacheriahrussell3 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Okay, this is my first imdb review but I had to say something. WHY, are they still on Pabu after everything that's happened?? Yes, I understand that Ventress was just there and Omega was trying to learn what her M-count was and meant, but for christs sake they should've left RIGHT AFTER THAT. They know the Empire is incredibly good at finding them so why do they keep risking it? Hunter and Crosshair both seem so overconfident in their abilities to protect Omega to the point where it's detrimental to the plot. The suspense of the episode is good but the fact that the batch aren't taking these clone assassins seriously after they saw what they are capable of is so ridiculously stupid. It feels like they're just sitting around waiting to get found to advance the plot. I don't know, maybe I'm missing something.🤷‍♂️

Right back to where we started...
jaxxds4 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I seriously cannot believe this. They actually did it. They wrote how many episodes of Omega wanting to escape, escaping, and then trying to figure out why the empire kept her at Tantiss just for her to go back by the end of the episode. This has to be some sort of late April fool's joke.

So basically, the clone assassin tracks down Phi and scans her ship's flight logs so he sees that she frequents Pabu. He goes there and sees Omega so he contacts Scorch so they can send reinforcements. The assassin blows up the bad batch's ship and Wrecker is caught up in it so he's unconscious for the whole episode. The reinforcements then start destroying all ships and boats in order to stop them from escaping so Hunter, Crosshair, and Omega plan to steal an imperial ship but of course that goes wrong so Omega decides to give herself up to the empire and of course Crosshair tells her no but she convinces him to let her do it anyway. And what is her plan? Have Crosshair shoot a tracking device on the ship that takes her so they can find Tantiss. That's right, Omega gives herself up just to find Tantiss so they can free the clones there. But wait, because Crosshair has to fight off some TK troopers before he can shoot the tracker so he ends up not making the shot. So basically, Omega is taken (again), the bad batch are stuck on Pabu until Echo can come pick them up, and they have absolutely no way of finding Omega again. But of course, I'm sure they'll just magically find a way to find Tantiss location in an episode or two.

This show is just mind numbing. It quite literally just reset the story back to the beginning of the season. Also, you gotta love how utterly stupid and inept the bad batch is. I don't believe for a second that these guys are supposed to be an elite task force of clones that successfully conducted and completed countless missions for the republic. With the way they are portrayed in this show, they could get curb stomped by some of the better 501st troopers. Ventress literally told them they're not as safe on Pabu as they think, and what? They just ignored that and took them at least 2 days (assuming that each episode represents a day from episode 9 to 11) to load up their ship to get ready to leave? Well at least now the first Pabu episode is complete filler, since when it first dropped everyone was saying it wasn't filler because it was a foreshadow to the bad batch retiring there. Guess not since they've been leeching off of the island for however long and now are the direct cause of the empire destroying their ships, boats, searching homes, and holding residences at blaster point.

The show only has four episodes left (thank God) so I assume that the next two are trying to find Tantiss and then the last two will be the bad batch, along with Rex and Echo, going there and freeing the clones and maybe killing Hemlock and blowing up the facility. Just get it over with and let the show die in its own agony.
