Exciting and fun!
and_mikkelsen10 April 2024
I am glad that after two major episodes with a lot happening and some bigger revelations, we didn't get an episode afterwards that felt like complete waste of time!

While nothing big happened, we still felt like the plot moved forward as The Batch are trying to locate Tantiss and we see what happens to Omega after she arrives!

The mission was exciting, well paced and mostly just Fun to watch! It was well directed, animated and the soundtrack created that level of intensity that just elevates it all a little bit!

Now we can only guess what comes next! We are closing in on the final, and you can tell as the goal becomes clear!

How is it possible that people hate this episode? Shame on you!

Warning: Spoilers
The Bad Batch's double feature one week ago was a massive banger that put the season back on track. This week's episode continues with an outstanding performance. It's tense, full of action and a lot of fun to watch.

After everything went wrong last episode, Omega is brought back to Tantiss, where she is the final part of the puzzle. Her blood and the M-count sample's can be used to clone something. However they do not reveal what to clone. This will be hold up til the end.

To get the coordinates of Tantiss the Bad Batch has to rescue Admiral Rampart from a mining fascility. He is the one who might know the way. This whole part was very entertaining to watch, because of the great action and the legendary soundtrack by Kevin Kiner. This guy put out another masterpiece.

In the end, they still do not know the coordinates, but Rampart knows a way how to get them.

All in all I really liked the episode and cannot understand why it got a 7 instead of an 8, at least. What do you expect, people? According to you, every episode not reaching the quality of peak Star Wars is a bad one. Please lower your expectations and enjoy the ride! Spare your bad vibes for The Acolyte!

The Bad Batch: Juggernaut Drift

Warning: Spoilers
Not as good as last week's episodes but still a solid episode that isn't a waste of time. Thank goodness. We've somehow still got three episodes left and I couldn't be more amped.

This one was just a lot of fun. I thought the chase in the Imperial Prison Transports was really well animated and directed, and just really exciting. And the whole goal was to find someone who could lead them to Omega. It is a little annoying that we still don't get any sort of hint or indication as to what that looks like, but I'm sure it'll make for an exciting next episode.

I also thought Rampart was killed for some reason. Seems very Imperial of them to just take out the trash after the Senate hearing last season. I have a feeling he won't make it out alive regardless of what his motives are.

Good not great.

Good but a little disappointing
Yacotaco10 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
While this is by no means a bad episode, it is a bit disappointing.

The main disappointment is at the start of the episode when we meet the batch on Pabu. I was really looking forward to seeing the interaction between Crosshair and Hunter and Wrecker after he agreed to let omega give herself up. You'd think that they would at least show crosshair arriving, saying where's omega and then having some brief argument with Crosshair. This could have been a core part of the episode and link back to trust issues between crosshair and hunter. To not even discuss it after a 5 second mention was frankly annoying. I understand them not wanting to spend the whole episode on it but they should have included more friction between crosshair and hunter and had crosshair doubt his ability. Eg 'I had one job and I couldn't do it' - something like that.

Anyway, the rest of the episode was alright. It was another bad batch mission episode sprinkled with some tantiss omega stuff. The mission itself, while predictable, was fun and some good action and was relevant to the plot. Bringing back rampart was a nice idea. The Tantiss stuff was a little underwhelming but I assume we'll get more of that next episode.

With only a few episodes left, this episode felt a little bit meaningless and we could have spent more time on tantiss or maybe released next episode with this. Or maybe 50:50 between the mission and omega stuff rather than a couple scenes at the start and end. Just an idea.

In all, I think this episode missed opportunities to develop characters alongside action which this season has generally done well. I'm sure the finale 3 episodes will be better and should answer the questions they've been setting up this whole show. I'm still excited for a big conclusion to this show..

Sudden way to find Tantiss is sudden!
jaxxds11 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Seriously? I called it in my last review but of course the bad batch just suddenly figures out a way to find where Tantiss is after countless episodes of them lamenting that they can't find it and have no idea on how to find its location. And how can they find where it is you may ask? Why Admiral Rampart of course. Crosshair remembered that he sent Nala Se there when Crosshair was still working for the empire so they decide to find him and get the information. I could have sworn Rampart was killed but whatever. So yes, Crosshair technically knew of a way to find Tantiss this whole time but just never said anything because he "never wanted to go back there". This writing team is beyond stupid. He never told the others of a way to find the top secret and completely hidden away imperial lab that had held Omega, him, and other clones for so long because he didn't want to have to go back to the lab? They seriously couldn't come up with a slightly better excuse than that??? It's almost like he could have said something as soon as he reunited with Hunter and Wrecker and saved us a few episodes of everyone trying to figure out where it could be. But no, let's drag out this show and "plot" for as long as possible by writing the characters to be uncharacteristically stupid and thus completely halting everything so the show can dive into more filler side missions that act like they matter to the overarching plot *sigh*.

Anyway, the rest of the episode is just the bad batch breaking Rampart out of imperial imprisonment. It's all action apart from Omega being brought back to the lab and into the vault with the rest of the high M count children, which is shown very briefly. And of course, Rampart says at the end of the episode that he doesn't have the exact coordinates of Tantiss but he may know a work around. That's basically the show's way of saying that it's going to waste another episode for the bad batch having to do some one episode mission in order to get the location of Tantiss before the finale is set in motion. And honestly, what finale is even there to be excited about? The bad batch breaking Omega out AGAIN? Rex and Echo joining them to free the clones imprisoned on Tantiss? Hemlock is killed? Emerie helps Omega/escapes with her? Who knows, but all of it feels so poorly and loosely written. Everything feels so disjointed and honestly Omega, the bad batch (Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair), Rex and Echo, Hemlock, and Emerie all feel like they're from entirely different shows. This show wants to be dark and mature with the empire experimenting on children but then wants to be the equivalent of a character in a TV-G rated show having the answer to a question but never giving the answer because "no one ever asked" if they knew the answer. It's extremely annoying that the show can't make up its mind on what it wants to be and I assume this will continue until the show's last 3 episodes are done.

The ONE positive thing I can say about this show is that the animation is simply beautiful. Glad at least some of the show's staff actually puts effort in.

0/10 episode but +1 for the stunning animation.

I have to write a review because it's not accecptable what they are doing!

After seasons of mindless shooting and actions all the time this whole series is just draining. These filler episodes when the story progresses net 4 minutes in the beggining and at the end for a short it's just ridiculous. So many times the empire is emposed as this bad guy etc but they let those weak hearted Emerie Karr handle Omega like she hasn't been the priority to capture for 3 seasons and they let him speak and ask things as well like the empire is running a kindergarten. It's not dark enough, long ass zooming in on the character faces like they are so deep and all but survining. 40 episodes of mindless shooting all around with plot armor won't make them hard or cool or something. This series has a 10 episode sotry with 50 minutes runtime and that's it, and these episodes show what a rip off all these content are to make people stay subscribed for a longer time to see washed piece of crap like this.
