Entertaining other than dark metaphor
sparkledaily13 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
It's a movie to put on your watch list however in this movie I don't like dark being used as a metaphor for evil examples. Lisa Rinna played as the mother in the movie and during one of the scenes she said I'm going through "dark times" which can be rephrased to difficult times or hard times. Saying dark times gives a racist undertone. There are plenty of other words or phrases that can be used instead. Other than that the movie was not that predictive so it had you guessing for a short period that it was the other characters like the one that had a crush on her I forgot his name, then they did reveal it was the mother. Overall it was a bit entertaining.

Nightmare.

Warning: Spoilers
Lisa Rinna has an ego the size of the Grand Canyon to think that she at 60 years old should be playing this role. So implausible. Horrible acting, predictable, and unbelievable. Oh, and did I mention horrible acting? Lisa Rinna's character bully's a kid by saying his birthmark was the size of Oregon which made it seem more like a comedy than a drama. I couldn't stop laughing!!! If you want to waste 127 minutes of your life but at the same time have a good laugh like I did, this one's for you. This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I stayed with it, but I couldn't wait for this one to end.

What a Mess

Warning: Spoilers
I really can't believe I invested 90 minutes on this show. The acting was absolutely atrocious and the plot jumped around, with a weird insertion of the ex husband periodically and a love interest that broke up with the lead actress, then supported her...just odd. The cast was an odd mix of characters, and the daughter was just painful to watch crying, sobbing...just rinse and repeat her role throughout the movie. Her love interest was also a sad and pathetic soul. The ending (which I was so glad to see come) was Lisa Rinna getting released from jail and pretending nothing happened. Please don't invest your time.

I felt so sorry for the daughter

Warning: Spoilers
Lifetime movies are guilty pleasures. Yes they usually are the movie equal of junk food but they are entertaining. This one tackles the subject of cyber bullying. My goodness in my days the nerds just got their heads pushed in the locker or commode now they are bullied from afar. An intelligent sweet high school girl is almost driven to madness and suicide by the vile texts she keeps getting and there are hundreds of them disgusting beyond words. I at first thought the culprit was the dad because the opening scene shows the parents fighting and they mentioned the mother got a restraining order against him. Its turns out (SPOILER) that the culprit is none other then the mother who seemed so sweet and loving (they say its those kinds you need to watch out for). I felt bad for the daughter but was happy that they caught this mommy from hell in the end.
