This episode precedes Captain America: Winter Soldier, which appears to have Shield as a primary focus in it, so this episode could help set things up. While it did focus on it's own story, it did set up a few things that could happen in the Winter Soldier.
It was awesome to see Trip and Garrett back. Paxton brought something great to this show in his debut episode that totally boosted this TV show. Looks like he's sticking around for the rest of the season. It was also nice to have other agents come back like Hand, Blake and Sitwell. Although, Sitwell didn't join them but I saw on IMDb that he is making an appearance in the Winter Soldier, so hopefully it's not just a quick scene.
They finally found the Clairvoyant, portrayed by the extra creepy Brad Dourif, however, I don't think he is the real one. When Skye talked to Coulson at the end of the episode, they get to the theory that the Clairvoyant is an agent of Shield. So I'm curious as to who it is. I really want to know who May is working for. I doubt she is working for the Clairvoyant but its still a mystery.
Let's talk about Deathlok. When he got his robo-leg from Quinn, it was the start of some great effects but seeing him now he looks completely pathetic, like really cheap cosplayer in a Utah convention pathetic.
However, things are taking an interesting turn just before the Winter Soldier so maybe what happens in it will affect Agents of Shield.
+ Paxton! and Trip + Clairvoyant twist + Sets up Winter Soldier...sort of + All comes together with all the agents - Deathlok's appearance
Final Score: 9.1/10
