A hard look at a scary sociopath trying to connect with someone, over the course of 1/2 nights.

Right from the get-go, an atmosphere is dread is created, and maintained, all the way to the end, when the lead almost comes full circle, in a manner of speaking.

While this work makes us spend a little time with our lead sociopath, there is room to wonder both about his past and his future, and assumptions can be fairly made with respect to violence being very much a part of his life.

A very gripping watch, made all the more engaging with a superb performance from the main lead, from whom you cannot take your eyes off for a moment. Almost like a young Vincent Cassel. Don't miss....and yep, not for the squeamish, in spite of the fact that the makers are fans of 'the lesser you show, the scarier it is' school of film-making.....

Dje

The basic virtue of film is Paul Hamy acting. His Dje , easy to appear as a lonely guy looking for be accepted, grows up scene by scene. Few masks, the fight to be part of something, a long walk and extreme gesture giving, at the first sigh, the expected comfort. A film like a reflection in mirror of near reality. Or onlya parable.
