Intercontinental Championship

Goldust (C) (W/Marlena) Vs Razor Ramon

Razor wins by countout after Goldust has enough and heads to the back. Razor says he doesn't want the Intercontinental Title, just Goldust's ass. (Yes, he said it exactly like that) He says everybody's raving about the glory days being back because Roddy Piper is WWF president. Razor says he doesn't want his kids to grow up and see Goldust's antics on television. He asks Piper to make a match between Razor and Goldust.

**

Thoughts: This match was a a little better than their outing at Royal Rumble, but still nothing great. Razor was supposed to face Goldust in the Hollywood Backlot Brawl, but Razor got suspended and Roddy ended up taking his place.

Matches announced for Wrestlemania 12 are Bret Hart Vs Shawn Michaels and Diesel Vs The Undertaker.

The Bodydonnas Vs Aldo Montoya & Barry Horrowitz

Before the match can get underway, Vader comes in and beats up Montoya and Horrowitz to a pulp. This suits me just fine because I had no desire to see this match anyways. Thank you, Vader!

N/R

The Ultimate Warrior is returning to the WWF!

Thoughts: This run would be his weakest. He didn't have any big feuds this time around and he wasn't used properly. He was returning to face Hunter Hearst Helmsley at Wrestlemania 12

Sunny (In a gorgeous red outfit) wishes the president a happy birthday.

The Ringmaster (W/Ted Dibiase) Vs Marty Janetty

Here is a fact for you. Both Stone Cold and Marty Janetty are former tag team partners of Shawn Michaels. Austin wins with the Million Dollar Dream. Both guys produced a serviceable match for television. I'd like to see what both could have done with more time. Steve was undefeated as The Ringmaster at this point and he needed the win far more than Marty.

*1/2

We get a segment of Makind in a cellar, literally holding a couple of rats. He talks about how imperfect he is and how ugliness lives in all of us.

Tatanka (W/Paul Bearer) Vs The Undertaker (W/Paul Bearer)

During the match, Diesel comes down to ringside with an axe and brings a camera man backstage. Diesel destroys The Undertaker's casket with the axe. Meanwhile, Taker plants Tatanka with a tombstone and wins the match. What do you really expect from a match with The Undertaker and Tatanka? If you're smart, not much, because that's exactly what you'll get.

A Billionaire Ted segment takes place with "Larry Flynn" They take shots at Larry King, Hulk Hogan, the booking on Nitro, and more. I didn't think it was that funny.

This is a pretty average episode for the most part. I'm sure wrestling fans were very excited about the return of The Ultimate Warrior back then. Unfortunately, that's really the only highlight of this show. Diesel destroying Undertaker's casket was very stupid. It's not like the urn where it's personal, it's just a casket! There were glimpses of hope, though. Stone Cold and Mankind were about to help reinvigorate the WWF.

Larry Fling Live (Almost)
clayface928 April 2020
The show opens with Sunny looking fantastic in a black bikini warning us the Raw to too hot for some and viewer discretion is advised. The first match is Goldust defending the Intercontinental Championship against Razor Ramon. Dok Hendrix presents the Slam Jam Report. Aldo Montoya and Barry Horowitz were scheduled to face the Bodydonnas, but Vader came out and destroyed Montoya and Horowitz. We see an Ultimate Warrior package. Sunny sings "Happy Birthday" to "Mr. President" (it's not clear which President). The Ringmaster takes on Marty Jannetty. We hear a classic Mankind promo. The main event is the Undertaker versus Tatanka. While this match is happening, Diesel destroys the Undertaker's coffin. Billionaire Ted is the guest on Larry Fling Live. The show ends with Paul Bearer whining about the Undertaker's destroyed coffin. The show has been improving, mostly out of necessity, to keep up with WCW Monday Nitro.
