The show opens with Vince McMahon and the Rock gloating about the swerve they pulled to get the Rock the WWF Championship. The Oddities take on the New Age Outlaws and X-Pac. Kenny Shamrock comes out and issues a challenge to the Big Boss Man. Val Venis faces Mark Henry. Goldust and Steve Blackman take on Jeff Jarrett and the Blue Blazer. Steven Regal battles The Godfather. The LOD face the Brood. This leads to the infamous angle where Droz pushes a suicidal Hawk off of the Titantron. Ken Shamrock defends the Intercontinental Championship against the Big Boss Man. Michael Cole interviews Sable. Sgt. Slaughter, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson go to the boiler room looking for Mick Foley. The main event is the Rock defending the WWF Championship against Steve Austin.
