Intercontinental Title Tournament

Owen Hart Vs The British Bulldog

Sunny comes out to scout the two. Owen Hart ends up winning by countout. Sunny ends up throwing pop in The British Bulldog's face. Jim Cornette also comes out to confront Sunny. All the melodrama aside, this was a pretty good match! Anytime a Hart member faces The British Bulldog, you can pretty much guarantee it's gonna be solid.

***

Vader (W/Jim Cornette) Vs Freddie Joe Floyd

Vader wins easily with two Vader bombs. This was just to get Vader's heat back after losing to Shawn Michaels at Summerslam.

1/4*

Next, is an interview with Mankind and Paul Bearer. Paul Bearer says he's tired of carrying the Undertaker, and being abused. Static starts to commence in the arena. Paul says it's not Undertaker. Mankind has the power of the urn now. Mankind says his body is still racked in pain from the boiler room brawl, and he loves it. Mankind says he plans on making Shawn Michaels the least sexy boy toy in the world. In one night, he'll have the chance to destroy billions of lives of the Kliq all around the world. The Undertaker's gong hits and the lights go out. The druids come out and carry Undertaker. Paul Bearer says Undertaker has passed away. This is just the decayed corpse. The Undertaker sits up, of course. Mankind retreats.

Thoughts: I'm always a sucker for segments like this. I've always enjoyed the mind games of The Undertaker. Paul Bearer did very well in his new role as a heel.

Next, is a vignette for "The Stalker" Barry Windham. That gimmick didn't last very long.

4 Man Battle Royal

Savio Vega Vs Goldust Vs "Stone Cold" Steve Austin Vs Sycho Sid

The winner gets a WWF title shot against the winner of Shawn Michaels and Yokozuna. Goldust wins, last eliminating Savio Vega. This was pretty anti-climatic. Sid was eliminated just a few short seconds into the match, and it lost steam as soon as Austin was gone.

*1/2

WWF Championship

Shawn Michaels (C) (W/Jose Lothario) Vs Yokozuna

Shawn wins with sweet chin music. Believe it or not, this wasn't too bad! Yokozuna could barely move at this juncture, and Shawn still carried him to a watchable match. I believe this was Yokozuna's last appearance. I could be wrong, though.
