The middle..

The first three episodes were more of a setup for the entire show, which was needed. However, there were a few scenes that they could have cut out to make the setup less dragged out. Since there are only eight episodes, there was some slight disappointment, from me, that they took three episodes to tell what is going on. There's nothing bad about it, I'm just worried that there wont be as much time spent on the actual "epicness" that some, including me, expected.

Expectations can make a person mad when it's not met. Though I'm not mad, yet. We'll just have to wait and see until I watch the entire show.

I really liked this episode, even though they only spent the entire episode inside the Chinese restaurant, Royal Dragon, talking about what the Hand is planning etc. It was another episode where they setup the team, and forming bonds. It was an episode which was needed in order for the audience to feel the authentic bond between the characters, and hopefully they will expand upon their bond as a team.

Now, back to the binge.

Episode 4

Another really solid episode of the show. Elektra was one of the few bright spots of Season 2 of Daredevil so I am glad she is getting to be a big focus of this show.

The Defenders first meeting was interesting. Not quite what it could have been, but a big moment nonetheless.

They still dropped the ball with the Sigourney Weaver character on this show though. She is not worthy of being the villain that The Defenders series deserved.

It's getting better

The first 2 episodes were meh, I don't even remember what happens in them, that's how uninteresting I found them. But after the third episode I feel things are picking up and it's starting to get good, I hope it stays like this till the end. On a personal side note, I currently don't like Jessica Jones, I was pissed when she left the restaurant and chose not to stick with the others and come up with a plan, she even acknowledged that the guys that they are up against are a major threat but she still left ugh. I came from the last season of DD and decided to watch this show solely because I wanted to see more DD, the other marvel Netflix shows don't interest me and judging by how I feel about the other defenders I'm doing myself a favour by not bothering with their shows. None of them have given me a reason to check out their respective series so far, their acting at best has been average and fight scenes were meh. I'm hoping something happens to change my mind though, because after I'm done with the punisher I'm going to need another show to watch

Episode Four - Dragão Real

By far, the best episode so far, wonderful episode.

I loved the dynamic between the four of them, it really worked, especially Jessica Jones' sarcasm towards everyone.

Iron Fist's biggest problem is being too straight-laced, and that bothers him a lot, he has this blind obligation to save the world, obviously all superheroes (or 99% of them) but his sense goes beyond the ridiculous, and obviously he has to speak an ENEM essay every time he introduces himself to someone he doesn't know.

So far, the moments in which Elektra appears are very good.

Rating: 10/10.

A cheapie

This feels like quite a cheap episode. Just having the guys sitting around eating Chinese and swapping banter. The ending is pretty cool but other than that, fairly average.

Live Reaction / Review for The Defenders Episode 04: The third episode was good and I gave it a rating of 7.0/10. I hope this episode is as good or better. Matthew reveals his secret identity to the team? Ok. I love how they talk about their next move while eating food, it's kinda funny until it isnt. Jessica doesn't really seem to be the team player type. This is supposed to be a team up series but we are in the 4th episode and still it doesn't feel like they are a team, its a bit annoying. When will they be a solid team? In the last episode? It's been 4 episodes and it feels like not much has happened which sucks. This show moves very slowly. The main villain is awful, she isnt intimidating at all. Every time I see her I start yawning. Overall very mediocre, this show is definitely not peak television. My rating is 5.5/10.
