RIP Dr Scott
ohroonoko20 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I guess they HAD to kill off Dr Scott because of the moral dilemma she posed by killing Niels in order to synthesize her contagious cure. Commander Chandler did promise to bring her to justice so this makes things easier for everyone. So long, Dr. Scott, and thanks for the cure!

No fear

Warning: Spoilers
The submarine has been destroyed. However, Kevin and some others of the chosen ones that were on the ground are not giving up, and will do anything to thwart Chandler and his people's plan to deliver the vaccine. The president and the rest of the Nathan James will try to convince people to come to the ports so they can deliver the cure.

With the submarine out of the picture, the last episode of season 2 of "The Last Ship" was in danger of becoming a boring or tone down one. However, with some of the 'bad people' still on the loose, the episode does a good job of keeping things interesting, action-oriented and with some nice twists. It is obvious that is all a little bit of a coda, with even a happy ending followed by a shocking death, but the distribution of the vaccine gives the show the opportunity to expose the difficulty of convincing people of whom to trust and how difficult it will be to bring things back to a state of more or less 'normal' everyday life.

With the show continuing, it will be interesting what it has to offer, as season one left a very open ending, but this second's could have perfectly been an end to the series, with a president, a cure and no big enemy in sight.

Good episode..skip ending
botheking4 January 2024
Good episode, if you use to look away from the last 30 seconds. That did NOT happend.

Navy Captain Tom Chandler (Eric Dane) and his crew must find a cure after a pandemic wipes out billions of people worldwide. Scientist Rachel Scott is assigned to the U. S. S. Nathan James to investigate the cause of the rapidly spreading virus. Chandler and his crew may be humanity's last hope in the wake of a worldwide catastrophe.

Every television show designed to get your adrenaline pumping eventually needs to let the audience catch their breath. Remember, as the producers revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, TNT green-lit seasons 4 + 5 at the same time and so they devised one big story encompassing both seasons. Tonight's episode, The Last Ship 405 - Allegiance, while an important step in a few of the character's development, offered up relatively fewer thrills than we're accustomed to. If you don't appreciate the break in the action, blame binge-watchers.

recipe on how to ruin a basically good movie

Warning: Spoilers
The pointless murder of Dr. Scott made pointless to watch the series further.

Parole was offered to everyone it was even offered to the pastor of the immunes till the end of the episode only Dr. Scott did not get paroled before. Than when she got paroled she was murdered.

Seemingly she was in love with her boyfriend and with the Captain who kept her in custody and the least with Ken but her situation was manufactured to somehow earn her punishment for her sins. As she was one of the most sympathetic, likeable and intelligent character it is a mystery why was she liquidated.

The guy who overplays his character is still in play. Good luck with the show now without me watching further.
