A pretty charming CGI short by Patrick Delage, whom the Internet Movie Database lists as the co-director of the upcoming Despicable Me sequel.
It seems that information was put by mistake, since no other website mentions it, but at least it allowed me to discover this little gem, quite adorable from beginning to end, following a plush toy wolf taking care of a baby.
I honestly feel Illumination should turn this short into a full feature length film, since there is a lot of potential for a great story here, the kind of story both critics and audiences would enjoy immensely.
Are they afraid it would be negatively compared to Toy Story? Personally, I think this is different enough, and also stories about living toys had been done several times in different mediums.
A pretty underrated title which deserves more popularity.
