Great villains and a great hero, and when he answers the call, all hell breaks lose.
Phenomenal horror/thriller. Intense and not for the faint of heart, recommend to all Horror film fanatics, just like me.

Good acting performance by all the actors, the writing is fantastic, I loved the story, and how it played out.
The music was absolutely fantastic, I loved it.
I think this is a solid watch for horror fans and a must see for fans of this franchise.

This film, for me, was a great watch. I was expecting average at best with its concept, there are so many bad horror movies at the moment, I think. Therefore, this was an uphill. The film's greatest strength is the first half, the story further becomes somewhat more predictable, but is certainly good enough. This movie is for anyone who loves horror and action movies, and with badguys who are really BAD.
PROS 1. Good story 2. Good special effects 3. Love the twist and ending fight 4. Good soundtrack 5.good pacing 6. Same vibe as original 7. Mask design was by far best one out.
CONS 1. Needs more character development so you really feel more when theese people die 2. Some story lines went knowhere ( you'll know what I mean)
The ending was the best and definitely caught me by surprise !

The sequel continues the fantastic story, and builds on the characters we saw, whilst adding some new ones to the mix.
The storyline is intelligent with thoughtful dialogue and logic and a powerful story.
The sequel is, once again, filmed excellently, the settings are sublime and the gore-effects are as gruesome as it gets.
A very scary sequel.
This is one call you won´t forget !

I'm a big fan of the Call franchise and this movie made me fall in love with the franchise even more.
I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.
This is the sequel that the fans deserved,

A writer directing his own work tends to ensure that it will get proper treatment, and this is mostly true here.
Constantino´s The Call saga, brings everything we love from the first movie and prequel, and delivers it in the most savage way.
Overall, It has some flaws, but I really can't bring myself to give this masterpiece any less than full marks.
it´s gory, it´s bloody, it´s one of the best portuguese movies out there, check it out, you won´t regret it.

This movie takes the action that audiences enjoyed in the first movie and elevates it to a new height. It successfully creates the same feelings as the first movie,
We have twists and turns, referenced scenes to the Saw franchise, it´s just that great.
So we begin with agent Caetano, trapped in chair handcuffed, until he receives a phone call, but to get to the cell phone ( he must use his brain ) and take advantage of everything he sees in the room, for me, the tension of this scene, is great, because he can´t leave the chair, that has a bomb attached to it.
When he finally manages to escape that trap, all hell breaks lose, as the Purifier and Breeder, seek revenge against all cops from the first movie, killing them all, one by one, the writing in this movie is different from the first movie. The movie prioritizes tension scenes more than action, but when the action begins there´s no end in sight.
It successfully blends action and the thoughtfulness of the first movie. So many memorable scenes and revolutionary moments Look out for many surprises in the end, and a post credits scene.
The Purifier and Breeder will return, i´m so sure about that.

I saw it last night, and it was incredible, full of one liners that reminds of the 80´s action movies, so the purifier returns on full throttle to kill agent Caetano, that murdered his brother years ago, now along with Breeder the mad mercenary, they trap him in an old building, with a bomb in his chair, and an army of killers, around him.
He just needs to follow the rules that the purifier wants ( this guy is even worse than is brother he´s a f** lunatic ) Breeder wants revenge on all the cops, and bombs the police department, and kills a lot of cops. Caetano full of rage, transforms himself in a one man army, and goes after them, killing every lunatic on his path of vengeance. I thought that Chief Torres died in the explosion of his house, but in the final act he appears ( he is the one with ski mask, with the dark jacket ) and starts killing breeder´s soldiers. The fight between Caetano and Breeder is also great, but the clash between him and the purifier is pure horror, we never know where he is, because he uses the dark to catch Caetano, there´s very few light, it´s very scary.
This sequel is glorious, music is top notch, incredible sets, incredible tension scenes, horror, gore. Watch out for the post-credits scene. We all know that this movie will be a hit, and sooner we will all get " The Call 3 " it´s just a matter of time, until then just watch The Call 2.

Crazy fun movie, a sequel i though won´t be this good, but it is.
Agente Caetano is unleashed on this one, killing soldiers of evil, left and right.
the most crazy scene for me is when the voodoo man appears, this guy is my favorite, for me i love him, even more than the purifier and breeder, there´s a scene where he writes the floor in blood to ressurect the purifier, this movie in an homage to glory of the 80´s, Hellraiser, Halloween, Friday the 13th, Child´s play.
It´s all here, and when you think the nightmare is over, and Caetano is home safe, the purifier appears again, to tell the audience, it ins´t over yet.
So you can expect an announcement for a third chapter very soon.

The last fifteen minutes was the final cat and mouse conflict, the killings are brutal and bloody.
All in all, "The Call II " is worth taking the time to watch, both if you are a fan of the franchise or just enjoy a good old horror/action flick.
The music is over the top.

As sequels go, this isn't a better movie than the original, but what it is and what it does well, it does really well. I have to say right away here that I was scared in this movie. There are some truly ingenious and horrific shots in this film. There are times when you really aren't expecting what's about to happend, and when it does, it sends chills through you.
The purifier and breeder as one of kind, criminals above any law, and this time there´s others the mercenary blue star, the voodoo man, the mask maker, and breeder´s soldiers, all of them hunting down agent Caetano and the police force. The purifier´s house is dark and quiet and rather empty. And that adds to the atmosphere of the film. It gives us lots of long hallways so we can have a few shots of him hunting his prey. Darkness is everywhere, and in the middle of this we´ve got the return of Alice the girl of the institute, that likes the killer, i think she is the only one, that he treats like a sister or a friend, and he cares for her, in all his evilness, he really cares for her. Brilliant in particular are two shots, one when Caetano summons him trough the darkness that surronds him, the lighting is solely responsible for the affectiveness of this shot, and the other one is when the killer is really near Caetano and even with the flashlight, he can´t see him, it works so well, his mask shinning trough the dark, it´s really scary.
Not only is this a good horror movie, it is a good film. I´m going to watch it again tonight.

This sequel allowed the tension to build over time, like the original did. The dialogue was fairly good. And the cinematography was spot on - with dark backdrops and themes.
The other characters are flawed, but again, the acting was just good enough to get the job done.
This wasn't a bad movie. I did enjoy it and would see it again, and would even recommend it. It just falls short a little bit here and there. Rui Constantino does a good job of keeping the Purifier in the shadows, background action is also prevalent and well done.

Surprisingly faithful to the source material, think of it as a horror filled roller coaster.
I honestly thought this film was quite magnificent, I found myself REALLY enjoying it. All actors playing their characters, did an amazing job.
Especially the Purifier, he is pretty scary.
If this isn't a 10 out of 10 for you, you´re a loser.
This is the best low budget sequel ever !! Take this call !!

The Purifier is back to avenge his brother´s death, along with Breeder another cell mate from the institute, and a dangerous one, he has an army of mercenary´s and deranged inmates of the institute, they make one lethal attack on portuguese police, killing lots and lots of police officers, agent Caetano is trapped inside an old building full of traps inside.
I was on my nerves to see what happend next, as the action starts, it´s non-stop lots of blood and gore, like this franchise always delivered.
For me, the main cast did a terrific job, and director Constantino is one of kind. As long as low budget goes, everybody did an awesome job here, delivering what fans wanted. The final stand is outstanding when Caetano says ( Now you will pay for all your victims ). I´ve got chilld down my spine just remembering those words.

I've seen this first movie over twenty times so far and it is still great.
But this sequel is very special, it grabs you and never stops, the direction and editing are so tight and carefully done, managing to be both frightening and classy, this is a nerve-wrecking experience.

Saw this movie today, and it´s an incredible sequel, i never saw the first one, but my friends did, and told me it was the best, so i went not expecting much...
But from the first moment, the tension and fear caught me by surprise, and I enjoyed it even more, soon i´ll be buying the first and make a review also.

We all know this franchise, and now what´s coming, in the beggining i was thinkin, will it be good, or another way for them to make more money, but no...

Buy this movie, it´s so good 9/10 for me.

If you thought the last chapter was dark, this one will really blow your mind.
Agent Caetano is trapped inside a building, listening to the purifier telling him, that he is going to suffer a lot, they start by killing the entire police department
(including Chief Torres) but he ins´t dead, we see him return, in the end of the movie, killing a bunch of breeder´s soldiers (is that crazy).
So Caetano has to get past the traps, kill all oponents like a real saw game, one of the best scenes is his escape on the motorcycle, on a trail of explosions prepared by breeder.
The final act, is to be remembered for years to come, full of violence and gore, the voodoo man is a weirdo sayin chants to call the demon from the institute to take over Caetano, it´s real horror my friends.
Loved this sequel, the post-credits scene is great, and i really hope, to see another chapter, in the years to come.

It is a fairly entertaining sequel directed by Rui Constantino. The movie's horror theme is solidly played out with some tight direction. Constantino´s gives this movie some well-done moments of shock and dark humor.
The film boasts some bloody FX, has some plot holes but is also entertaining, with the use of great special effects.
The atmosphere is very dark, sequels usually have a hard time in hoping to be as good as the original and the above film is no exception.

I´ve waited for this movie for many years, since the first one came out and now it´s everything i want in a sequel, the gang is all here, and with more firepower than ever before, Breeder is more menacing than ever, he has a new elite soldiers force, the purifier has two new friends, the voodoo man and the mask maker, these lunatics are crazy, Alice is back, good cameo from this little actress, that one day will be a great protagonist, and the cameo of the blue star mercenary, one more to join the fun.
Agent Caetano is back with Chief Torres, and the portuguese police Department, along with the portuguese army.
They didn´t forget anyone, and that´s great !!! Some movie forget about the past, but this one, is top notch on that.
The final conflict is glorius, Caetano is caught by the purifier, and they summon the dark demon from the institute, to enter his body, but Chief Torres returns from the dead, with portuguese army to kick back, and all hell breaks loose.
This movie has it all, I don´t know what they will try to do for another one, but it will be very difficult to top this, but i wish them luck. For me, i´m buying the blu-ray of this great movie.

The music is really effective. The acting isn't all that good but The Call II turns out to be a fairly good horror movie with effective scares, Rui Constantino returns as agent Caetano and is caught by Breeder, while going on vacation.
We see the purifier telling Caetano that he could kill him at any moment, but he will taste his vengeance to the end, while the officer of the law, watches trough a tv all his buddies die ( the way the purifier appears on tv, reminds us of Billy the pupet ).
The body count is way higher than in the first installment.
