A 2 hour CBS broadcast special, pretty much live-on-tape except for a recorded segment by U2 (in England) of a "tribute" song written for Frank that he never actually performed. In general, very well produced on the stage of Steve Wynn's Encore Theater in Las Vegas, in front of a live audience. Several recording artists of note (See IMDb for full line up). Surprising good covers by many Country-Western and Black artists. Stand outs include Harry Connick Jr., Celine Dion, Alicia Keyes and Lady Gaga. Some performances may be lip-sync, especially Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga. (Tony should have sung "The Best is Yet to Come" as Frank "covered" Tony's version). I liked most of the performances, but not all. Lady Gaga looked like a midget next to Gargantuan-sized chorus girls! She noticed that, and smiled! The sound is very "lush" with (approx.) a 31 piece orchestra and many Nelson Riddle arrangements. An outstanding pianist and harpist. Certainly worth buying if it is ever released on CD or DVD. It needed more "clips" of Frank. He sings "My Way" over the closing credits, which should have put been pushed off to the side, so you could see Frank perform it.
