As a die hard UUC member forevs, I was disappointed in the live action casting of Snowflake. Snowflake has, and always will be, one the most iconic unicorns of the UUC universe and I don't believe the small pony with a CGI horn did her justice. While some scenes captured her true majestic personality, others, like her farting glitter, were unnecessary. I have always pictured Snowflake as a symbol of strength, and yet she just let herself get captured by some dejected carny and scuzzy ticket taker? Why would they write this? Everyone knows she can shoot lasers, but the writers wanted us to just ignore her most important ability! Unreal! It's clear the writers didn't understand the first thing about Snowflake and the UUC. Next time do your research.

The script is awful and the acting is bad. The kids are much better actors than any of the adults but it's still just awful.
And what's with the ridiculous scarves Max keeps wearing around like a curtain?
Kids under 12 will put up with it - but for parents it's as much fun as having gastro on a plane.

Boring and unrealistic

I was with my nieces and they are aged 7 and 9. I saw the title and thought oh good kids movie I'll watch it with them. We were in about 30 minutes in and the oldest one said oh please this is a dumb movie. Let's watch something else but I wanted to give it a chance to get better so I said let's just watch a little bit more and after a while, youngest one said no no I don't wanna watch this anymore. It's dumb. I hate that girl Izzy's hair. Nobody wears their hair like that. It's the ugliest hair I've seen ever, and no one talks like she does. They both said - its so boring- Actually for myself whoever did the hair for this movie did a terrible job. Everybody looks like they have dirty hair and it can't hold a style. It is a poorly written story. It's definitely unbelievable and I can't recommend the acting. It is sad watching Ed Marinaro in this movie, makes one think of a dirty old man... and that's out of the mouth of the oldest one, so we turned it off. We never did finish watching it. It's not some thing I would recommend due to the reaction of my nieces and it's certainly wasn't some thing I wanted to continue sitting through any longer so we did turn it off.

I heard about this amazing movie months back and heard from a friend about it and I was really looking forward to seeing this movie and I Loved the movie a lot. Also friend I was with loved it too. Great to see a friend starring in it Chuck Wicks was fabulous and so was all the actors and actresses in the movie. They all did an awesome job in the movie. Makes you believe in believing. It was Great movie near the holidays nice christmas movie. It's a must see movie!! You really need to go see it. I know you will like all in the movie and the story line which was cute story. I'll be seeing it again.
Very Cute Holiday Movie for Kids

Watched recently with my kids and they both loved this film. The child actors did a great job and the unicorn was adorable. A very sweet story that is not overly complicated for younger kids. I loved the lesson in doing the right thing and there were a few funny lines we all laughed out loud at "Sheep...ewe" and "I missing everything in the middle of nowhere!" Izzy, Marco, and Onnie were very funny and it was nice to see Ed Marinaro in a different role. We will definitely watch this again over Christmas as my kids love unicorns. I wish there were more sweet natured movies like this for the kids!

This was such a fun movie for younger kids. We watched over Thanksgiving and loved the characters and animals. It appears to me that the overly critical reviews come from scrooge-like adult men (much like the bad guy that runs the Christmas fair) who do not understand that this is not for them - it's about a girl that believes in a unicorn. Girls this age and younger love this stuff and there was also the friend character Marco, who showed boys can think unicorns are cool too. Great lessons in the story overall about treating animals nicely, standing up for what is right, supporting your family - and of course believing in Christmas magic. I loved the puns and thought Chuck Wicks was very charming in this. Hulu should do more family movies like this.
