These slightly over 3 minutes we have here are the music video for the song "Whenever, Wherever" by Columbian recording artist Shakira. This was released back in 2001 already when she was aged 23 or 24 and it was her big breakthrough song that topped the charts in really many countries and she has been going strong with her music career since then. I like the song. The title and chorus may sound a bit basic, but the minor lines offer more in terms of the lyrics. And there is no denying how incredibly catchy and uolifting this song is really. Almost impossible that it won't get you into a good mood. Also the lyrics are really funny, especially on one occasions when she goofs around about her physical preferences. As for the video, it is okay. Not great honestly, but putting Shakira in all these places, in the desert, up on a snowy mountain, in-between these really fast horses was an okay idea and worked nicely taking into account there isn't really a story here. But there doesn't need to be, it is more about presenting Shakira to the public, introducing her and boy was it a successful introduction. I also really like her voice, it has amazing recognition value in basically every song and you immediately know it is her and not many pop stars from the current generation can say so. A bit of a pity she is not among the group that includes the likes of Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and others as honestly, she is far far superior to most of these. And of course her looks also help. I personally believe she is downright stunning and I am usually not somebody that much into blondes, but her blonde curls set her apart from almost everybody else and I also think her face is downright gorgeous, the right mix between cute and hot. And her body.. well look for yourself, she clearly has that fire in her bum and likes playing with her physical preferences. I as a heterosexual male cannot complain at all. She is still as gorgeous today in her 40s as she was back then. Huge thumbs-up for Shakira and her number here. Go check it out. There's far more to Columbia than Valderrama, maybe Higuita and organized crime à la drug trafficking. One of the best songs and music videos of the year 2001.
