I like the show. But from time to time, I feel it's kind of misandric in the way it depicts "using men for cash" as a valid solution for women to improve their own life.

Last episode, Christy blackmails her ex into a free trip (that is a crime technically). Before, she often said she wants money, not love and how she is jealous of people who were smarter with their money.

Let's face it, Bonnie, but especially Christy are in many cases responsible for their own situation.

After season 3, all their debt was paid off. And Christy had a few months as restaurant manager, which should have allowed a debt free person to save up a few thousand dollars. Then she also got the 5000 from the Canada smuggle trip.

And her daughter? She is the absolute worst! Yeah, she may have had a bad childhood, but that doesn't mean she can be a selfish brat who uses everyone around her: her mom, her grandma, EVERY man she ever met. She is neither pretty nor cute and has the absolute worst character.

So instead of working and learning a lesson by having to pay back a guy she ripped off, she digs for gold with her ex who foolishly takes her back, well-knowing that she already cheated on him? Is he THAT stupid?

But what does the show teach you? Basically, if you're a selfish, evil woman, you win.

I write this not because I hate women, but because I think THIS is why we have more and more people who end up lonely or bitter, because tv is teaching very toxic lessons to people, but especially to women.
