This show is supremely real and honest. It's such a real portrayal of eating disorders. It's one of the most well made pilots in general that I've seen in quite some time. It's really hard to make a truly outstanding show and these wonderful people have done it. The acting is absolutely brilliant. You don't feel like you are watching a show, but rather delving into someone's life and the struggles she faces. The lead actress completely killed it. I don't think there is one thing I did not like about this show. Please someone pick it up. It would be doing us a disservice not to. People need to see this. Art has the ability to heal and help others feel less alone. This show can bring awareness love and healing. Even if you don't struggle this show is still for you. It's that well done. Please bring it the attention it deserves! Absolutely wonderful!

Warning: Spoilers
"Binge" is unflinching, funny and relatable - regardless of whether or not you suffer from bulimia or another eating disorder. The main character, Angela, is well-developed and realistic. She's not perfect - in fact, her life seems to be one trainwreck after the other. "Binge" doesn't shy away from this - it shows the awful reality while reminding viewers that even at rockbottom, life can still be hilarious. In just a 25-minute pilot episode, I've become totally invested in Angela and her story. The dialogue is awesome - realistic and funny - and the supporting characters are well-developed. Angela's exploits (in addition to the binge/purging) are relatable - sleeping with someone you know you shouldn't, screwing up an engagement announcement, fighting with your best friend and asking for help... then running when it's offered. If you have twenty five minutes free, watch this. Then watch it again, because it's better than whatever else you were going to do anyway.

I honestly wasn't expecting much out of this when it popped up in my Youtube recommended - I was surfing for some short films and saved it to watch later - and holy crap, did this surpass my expectations.
I don't want to hype it up too much, but this is definitely worth seeing, and worth continuing - it and a prequel is available free on Youtube. Watch it. It even got some laughs out of me - it's an honest, smart, sad, and funny character study and look at human dysfunction.
The production is great, script is solid, acting great, and story intriguing. The setup is perfect for an entire series and I anticipate the next episodes. The team behind this is true and passionate and you can see it in their work. They don't hold back, keep things honest, and do it right. This is all I ever wanted.
