What is tuunbaq?

The death toll begins to rise, and the men are fearful of what lurks below deck.

I am absolutely loving this show, the sense of atmosphere and fear of the unknown are the key strength, and both are constantly ramped up. One scene in particular is intensely excited.

There is one minor thing that I have to take issue with, the sound at times is quite muffled, a few scenes with Hickey I needed to have the subtitles on

Mr Goodsir has perhaps become my favourite character here, he's smart, well intentioned, and an all round good guy. Hickey continues to be the villain of the peace, he's causing mayhem once again.

Loved it, 9/10.

Handled well

Warning: Spoilers
Another very good episode, well directed and acted throughout. We get the first proper action scene of the show and a glimpse of the monster itself, CGI handled pretty nicely. Ian Hart's acting comes to the fore here and the climax offers a different kind of drama, human for a change.

First Shot a Winner, Lads

Warning: Spoilers
You get a proper look of the monster in this episode. It looks like a demented polar bear. It certainly seems to have a connection with Lady Silence.

Thomas Blanky (Ian Hart) is the one who finds the monster at the top of the ship. In the process his leg is lacerated and has to be amputated.

The other men see the monster as Blankly sets it alight.

Until then the episode treaded water or shall that be ice.

Captain Crozier has a dispute with Fitzjames over some bottle of spirits taken from Fitzjames ship. Fitzjames has also sent Lady Silence over, the crew in his ship are wary of her.

The monster certainly lit the episode up.
