Capsule Review: Clint
nairtejas19 October 2017
It is obvious that the makers wanted Clint to be a weepy little drama about a real-life person who died prematurely. The problem is that neither the gloomy setting nor the tasteless writing succeed in hooking the audience who is hoping to understand what's so extraordinary about a young boy who has sketched thousands of paintings and artworks in a short span of time and without any prior knowledge or training. Kudos for bringing the personality to our notice, but as a film, it is a profound failure as it misses the point. A few sequences showing the boy's artworks and a few other where characters rave about those artworks are the only times that the film focuses on the gifted talent. Other times, it's either the boy calling his father by his first name or random people visiting him to be ridiculed because our boy is arrogant and thinks the world revolves around him. The entire cast is responsible for the awful acting, which is further aggravated by Harikumar's spineless direction that mostly involves deadpan dialogue delivery and stationery gestures. Not even Rima Kallingal or Unni Mukundan could save this dull drama that moves at a snail's pace and mostly ends with tears. Clint will have no effect on you because the story is lost somewhere between the impassive screenplay, amateur acting, and terrible direction. Reading about the person on Wikipedia is a far better alternative. TN.

The story I always wanted to see in movie
shyjokk1 October 2018
I am deeply pained after watching this movie Clint this one of my favourite so far and always cherish memories of Clint and his paints what he achieved in his short life and I asked God many times why did you call him so early and what would have been the state of parents if loose their single son or daughter very early before they could finish love them I am so speechless that in always believed in God that he got a plan , when comes to movie it's a very pleasant ,emotional and very dramatic and loved the way all actors acted respective roles and with limited screen space the main character played by clint is the real plus point of the movie and lived up to the expectations only downside I saw was the camers work it was little ordinary and would have made little dynamic that would have added more appealing to watch
