Heroes for Hire...come on Netflix!
nosweat-833578 July 2018
Heroes For Hire is getting closer! I thought this was one of the best episodes this season...except that whoever wrote Finn Jones' lines should have been shown the door (the only reason I didn't give it a ten). Loved seeing Luke and Danny together...I haven't finished the series yet, so hopefully he'll show up for the finale.

Netflix has plenty of material to draw on for HFH shows...Defenders also. Get someone who knows the stories to write them. Don't do like DC and somehow ignore 80 years worth of great stories.

The only decent episode out of season 2
semaj-9533926 June 2018
IMO it is better when they crossover, this season like the first one was dragging and I found myself skipping through a lot of boring bits to some action. Danny Rand brought some action and decent fighting to the mix, roll on Punisher season 2 to satisfy my palate

Best episode of Luke Cage
david_bodor25 June 2018
So this has to be THE best Luke Cage episode made. There's none that even really comes close.

The dynamic between Finn Jones and Mike Colter is excellent and their banter got me giggling like a 10 year old. In fact it brings back a nostalgic feeling, of watching cartoons and reading comics about superheroes. The jokes felt natural and fitting and the differences and similarities between the heroes were shown in an excellent manner, the fight scenes were awesome and you can definitely see how much Finn Jones improved when it comes to fighting coreography and the two actors play very well off of each other.

Overall, the two characters flow so well with each other I wonder why they aren't together during the whole show.

The Main Ingredient

Warning: Spoilers
Danny Rand and Iron Fist probably brings up some bad memories for fans of the Netflix Marvel Universe, but he was okay here and had some good interactions with the lead character.

But their attempt at a Red Wedding moment was just violence for no reason. Mariah has become so hateable this season. I guess that means she is doing a good job.

Expected More
zomgzomg26 February 2019
I was honestly expecting Danny's presence to be a little more interesting. It wasn't bad but the potential the crossover had wasn't met. Even Coleen's feature with Misty was more entertaining.

The show's continuing to move at a slow and mostly boring pace since it ground to a halt a couple episodes back.

Misty's storyline was meh, Luke's story was meh, Mariah's story was meh...

There was a particularly dramatic and disturbing scene in this episode. Although it had ramifications for certain characters, I'm not sure it was entirely believable.

The fact this certain character would do such a thing isn't surprising but the lack of remorse was uncharacteristic. This character has been particularly despicable in the last but I wouldn't say completely evil as they were in this episode.

I feel it was more of a plot device rather than anything.

Character inconsistency has been a recurring issue this season anyway.

I'm not sure why this episode is rated so highly... perhaps because there was a bit of action. But the action itself wasn't great and the lack of actual threat was appalling. The enemies that Danny and Luke were fighting must have been total idiots.

I've reached a point where I'm not really enjoying this season anymore but am too far through to give up now. So fingers crossed it picks up.

Most disturbing tv scene

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was good, but I wish they hadn't burned that guy alive. It was too much for me to see and I'm an older adult. Normally violence in movies/shows doesn't bother me, but that one part did. Hopefully no one will try to "top" this. If the point was to make us hate Mariah even more, then they accomplished that. I saw Shades walk away, so im wondering if he left her. It was probably too much for him too. I did enjoy having Danny visit the show. They have been building to this for a few episodes, so it worked very well. Maybe Jessica or Frank could drop in to assist Luke. But I'm hoping we're done with burning people and showing it for so long.

Slightly annoying
Leofwine_draca17 November 2021
Of all the guest stars they had to bring in from another show, they picked Iron Fist. Not so good, and he's the usual slightly annoying presence he was in that show. Imagine if it was Daredevil! That would have been something to see.

Couldn't stand the first few episodes so I jumped to this one because it was the highest rated...
cameronscarlett11 July 2018
There's your disclaimer, jumping to episode 10 means that I obviously have no idea what events have led up to this and how much weight certain scenes or lines have.

That said, it's bad. The acting, the dialogue, the fight scenes, the new characters, the politics. It ranges from boring at best to cringy.

I wanted to like this season. I moderately enjoyed season 1. After being spoiled by Daredevil, The Punisher, and Jessica Jones, this just doesn't hold up.

The second star is for the actors, but these writers and this director deserve -2
orourcy15 July 2018
Oof. I could do a better writing job than this and I could NOT do a good writing job. Who wrote this monstrosity? Who allowed this wooden, hamfisted dialogue to pass? Ugh. This is satire-level bad.

Rest of the season is pretty good so far.
