Nifty retrospective documentary

This 29-minute retrospective documentary covers a lot of interesting and informative ground on the making of the terrific 90's noir gem "The Last Seduction." Screenwriter Steve Barancik reveals that he got the idea for the story from a credit card scheme he learned about while working in telemarketing and admits that he saw Bridget Gregory as an attractive villain. Director John Dahl points out that he was attracted to the dark humor in the script and notes that since the movie was made for a modest 2.5 million dollar budget that he enjoyed a lot of creative freedom when he was making it. Bill Pullman talks about how he liked the role of Clay and thought the script was pretty good. Linda Fiorentino discusses how she relished portraying Bridget because she saw it as a rare opportunity for a woman to play basically a man's role. Moreover, we also learn that the company this film was made for wanted it to be more of a soft-core sexploitation romp, the original title was "Buffalo Girls," and an earlier draft of the screenplay was told from Mike's point of view. Worth a watch for fans of the film.
