Andrea Savage has been on a lot of shows but she really hasn't had that noteworthy role. Perhaps, on her program she can find it. As a lead she is both engaging and annoying at times, and she struggles a bit to find the right balance between Mary Tyler Moore and Mindy Kaling. It's hard to be too straight or too over the top these days, but her character Andrea Warren doesn't quite find the balance.
Some jokes were funny here, but the show is a bit too similar to Louie, Better Things, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Casual and shows in that vein.
I'll stick with it, but it needs to improve.
