Krishnam Raju is a strict jailor . He lives modestly with his wife Jayasudha and 3 children Jgapati Babu and daughters. He makes powerful enemies in his line of duty . His son Jagapati is jobless and goes around making a nuisance about himself fighting and hitting any one for small reasons . he is always chided by his father . Jagapati Babu is framed in a murder case by one of his opponents . Advocate Ramya Krishna goes in serach of witnesses and finally proves that he is innocent . Veteran Murali Mohan comes in a guest role as the main witness in this case as a do gooder doctor . Its difficult to imagine glamorous Ramya Krishna as a serious advocate . she dresses ,dances and sings well in bright chiffon sarees . There are half a dozen duets shot in colourful locales . Jayasudha looks simple and elegent in cotton sarees . Veteran comedy actress Vijayalalitha is a delight to watch as a stern mother in law . Its sad to see her husband Chandramohan finally hit her with sticks in the end to tame her . Wonder why this is the only way to tame a wife in our movies . Finally Jagapati Babu wins his father's affections and every one's respect .
