Overall, I really liked this series and would highly recommend it.

Episode 1 (or episode 0 as it is listed on CrunchyRoll) - This series starts out as a dry business anime. You can skip episode one if you want to get straight to the sci-fi stuff, but I wouldn't recommend it as there is a lot of character development in this episode along with various information that comes up later.

Last Episode - The ending makes sense in-universe, but I don't like it. Everything from the eventual love interest for the lead to the Being's motivations feel like they only exist because the creators found out that they could only make one season of the show. If this story went on longer, then it could've potentially been great. As is, the ending is fine but I really don't like it.

Story and Characters - For the most part, this is a fascinating story about what if humanity had access to greater power and what we would do with it. Its pretty interesting and makes logic out of surreal events. The characters are consistent for the most part, but there could've been more development if the series was a bit longer and had the time to focus on the individual characters. That being said, the writing isn't bad, there's just one or two things I didn't really like.

Animation - This show is mainly CG and it looks great. The visuals on this show are just amazing.

A very good series that could have been a masterpiece

Warning: Spoilers
A well-known theme but still not so exploited, is the idea of the visit of a higher entity in all, or almost all aspects. Think of The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951 and its remake in 2008).

This event triggers the otherness, that is, the confrontation with the other and therefore the comparison of what is, what is not, and what can be. Kado exploits it. The trope of the benevolent alien invasion triggers many narrative elements that would need more lines for its development, such as: good and evil, progress, media and society, the role of politics, and so on.

A recommended series if you like science fiction and the moral debates that it awakens.
