just emotion

To comment "Take Me to Church" is, obvious, a mistake. Because you feel it. The music and each move. It is just Sergei Polunin essence of art. Simple, precise, touching, convincing and not the choreography or the story or the effort and the tension are great but something nameless who remains preserved after the final moment as a precious gift. It is just great art. And it is enough to understand that.

Warning: Spoilers
Here we have "Take Me to Church", the 4-minute music video from 2015 starring Sergei polunin and the director is David LaChapelle. Polunin is of course the ballet dancer we see in here from start to finish and honestly I am not too sure if he is also the one singing, but yes I think he is. I am just not sure as we don't see him sing, but that's probably just because he is so concentrated on his dancing. It's a one-man show basically, a bit of a grown-up male version of Sia's "Chandelier" if you wanna say so. After some initial doubts, I ended up liking this one. The dancing is incredible, the song isn't too shabby either overall. Still I'd recommend watching this music video and not just listening to the record as it is way more effective this way. i saw that Polunin is also performing on stage to his music apparently and well, good for him because he does not need to have great live vocals this way. And I see he is also a rising actor, so his career seems to be skyrocketing at the moment. Good for him. Good for us. This was a solid creative achievement from basically every perspective and I recommend checking it out. Definitely a thumbs-up.
