I was expecting more from this. seemed really low budget and unorganized for a Food Network show! Plot was dragging and it seemed like it was planned out ahead of time instead of feeling natural. The cakes were cool but weren't scary or freaky by any means. The assistants did nothing during the two episodes and seem like dead weight. I think they have some work to do and need to find better costars before making this a full series.

This was really disappointing. The dialogue was so forced on the "meetings" about the cakes. The two co-hosts literally did nothing on the two episodes except hand the main host of the show an ingredient or two - I really doubt they have any baking experience at all. All three hosts lacked personality. I also didn't buy that they baked those cakes there either; they used a small home size Kitchenaid to make a 10 layer cake? Get outta here! There was nothing "freaky" about the cakes; I've seen gorier cakes on Halloween Wars and Ace of Cakes. The show just seemed really CHEAP. The intro looked like a slideshow of Instagram photos plus cheap stock video reels.

I have been looking forward to this since Crypticon as Barbara always does the cakes for the event. This show was a slap in the face to her talent. What was the point of the other woman and man? They just stood there looking brain dead while Barbara literally did everything. This really needs some revising because it could be really cool.

Just like every show, the pilot episode and usually a few after are a learning curve. I rather liked the show and was impressed by her talent. I think they should've been able to have more of a chance to show what they can do.
