One of the best games that I played

The game has an incredible background set with an amazing soundtrack; each enviroment and stage has an characteristic music and sound effects. The game has a lot of beautyful maps and stages with a lot of very good simply characters, enemies and things. The game can catch you for hours in only twenty minutes or less.

Revival of platformers!

Great game, challenging (annoyingly so at times) but rewarding. Beautiful to explore, story that doesn't intrude on the gameplay but keeps you informed. It's so very close to the overall vibe that super Metroid has, which is high praise. I've gotten stressed out with this game from time to time but really it's only because I'm being impatient and rushing in a game that wants you to learn and plan and take your time. My criticisms are limited. I don't like that if you die, it can be quite a long distance from the nearest bench back to where you were to go kill your ghost and get your points back. But I can't think of another original platformer released in the last 5 years that's quite this good.

I added this game to my list of best games ever made. There is not one even slightly negative thing o can say about it. Everything is balanced so perfectly. Gameplay, art, music, story.... It's truly beautiful.

The best metroidvenia ever One of the best game i have ever and i Will ever play, such an Amazing lore and gameplay loved the boss fight, the charm and all the final, if i had to describe It with 1 world i'd Say amazin. I really liked the charm sistem and now in hyped for the prequel.

To every One Who wanna play the game i Just wanna Say that its very hard if you like wanna do the Path of pain or the 4 and 5 pantheon you gotta be ready, i got the Platinum and It needed 67 hours buy you at least Need 50 to do all you got to do even if its not for the Platinum.

Personal best boss: Nightmare grimm.

THIS GAME IS SO SO SO GOOD ITS AWESOME AND VERY FUN TO PLAY ALONG WITH STUNNING VISUALS AND PLEASING SOUND DESIGN AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF IT HAS AMAZING MUSIC AND GAMEPLAY AND TO THINK IT WAS MADE BY SUCH A SMALL TEAM IS AMAZING THEY DESERVE SO MUCH RECOGNITION FOR THEIR WORK!!!!! I have played many good games but this one really got me amazed. From the story to the designing, everything seems perfect. The amount of hours you can play this game without getting bored for a second. This game got me playing hours deep in the night. The soundtrack is also so beautiful and you almost feel part of the hallownest. Some bosses are so hard they take hours but you still keep going. The way your free to take your own path is so cool. The dlcs that come with it are a perfect submission to the game. I would recommend everyone to play this game (ITS WORTH THE PRICE!!) and I can't wait for silksong.

HOLLOW KNIGHT: Classic Vibe, Modern Masterpiece

HOLLOW KNIGHT is one of those games that really have a lot going for it. It's challenging, adventurous, artistic, unique, intriguing, dark, creative, and all very chill. It's a very fun fantasy / adventure sidescrolling platform game, with many vast areas to explore. While it may appear simple (design, art style, characters, minimal story) there is much to do, though it's not always clearly pointed out. This isn't a game for the close minded, but rather one for players willing to ponder and explore.

When playing this game you don't always feel pushed to one direction or forced into questing, but rather can enjoy (or dislike, depending on your play style) an almost open world type of experience. The areas you are given to explore are pretty huge and there are many areas in the game. It is quite a long game oveall, making it well worth the money spent. I enjoyed that game pacing can be either faster or slower depending on your play style. The gameplay is definitely a throwback to classic platformers and really fun to play although it certainly gets challenging at times. It's a very fun game and I can't complain.

The game aesthetics itself are very beautiful, the art is unique and memorable and it has good music. Overall, I would definitely recommend this game to play if you enjoy a good fantasy adventure platformer game. Hollow Knight offers plenty of hours of play, as well as a challenge.

I think hollow knight is a very good game since it never tells you what to do, its graphic section is magnificent, the difficulty rises in a very good way, its soundtrack is a gem, the characters are very good. This is an example that the Graphics are not all this game even runs on a cell phone and even so it is magnificent. Its map is huge and it has a lot to explore that guarantees many hours of gameplay and an immensity of bosses each one more difficult than the other. Another point is that it has more than one ending, that seems really good to me, since when you finish it for the first time you can continue to unlock another ending. The decisions that have to be made are good, for example, SPOILERS ALERT, the goad forcer when you improve your goad to the maximum this He will ask you to kill him, you choose if you kill him or leave him alive, I don't know, but a game like this seems great to me, for all these arguments I think this game deserves a 10.

Hollow Knight is easily one of my favorite games. Its visuals and soundtrack are amazing. The gameplay, story and bossfights are epic. I know the game is very challenging, but that's one of the reasons it's so enjoyable.

Unforgiving, punishing and agonizing

Don't get fooled by the lovely art style and soothing soundtrack because after a few hours of gameplay you will realize that you've put yourself in a gameplay that is combined with the prestige difficulty of Dark Souls and crazy labyrinth creativity of Metroidvania. Each map is beautifully designed and also has their own distinctive soundtrack.

However the story felt short since 90 percent of the time you spend on this game will actually go to playing than watching cinematic scenes or reading character's dialogues.

Bosses in the early part of the game feel balanced, creative and enjoyable to fight against but as the game progresses the boss creativity stays behind. It honestly looked like some bosses were based purely on your luck and RNG.

The game is fun only for people who love extremely challenging games. This is definitely not a game for someone who's looking for comfort, relax or a fun game to play after a hard day at work.

I'm a couple hours into Hollow Knight on Switch and while I admit that the art style is captivating, there is nothing about the gameplay that is compelling me to continue moving forward. I genuinely don't see why this game is so acclaimed. I'm not really getting the story, I'm never sure what I'm supposed to be doing other than just sort of aimlessly jumping from platform to platform and I have no concept of where I am or where I've been. Kinda wish I had spent my money on something else.

The most underrated game you will ever see

So hollow knight? It's a perfect game. So how come you never saw it before? It's underrated. Just because GTA5 is more popular doesn't mean it's better, it is just more popular. Hollow Knight has a lot of pros and almost no cons. The art is so nice, the music is amazing, the fights are epic, but there is one thing that many consider a con. It's easy to get lost. The navigation is bad at the beginning. You can later buy(not with real money) some upgrades to your mao, but it takes time and you will already PROBABLY be lost by the time you find the upgrades. I don't consider this a con tho, but this good to know if you are debating if you should buy it. So the game is amazing and if you are thinking about buying the game, go for it! It is an experience everyone deserves!

I have been playing Hollow Knight for over a year now and still come across new things. It really doesn't get tiring. Especially after the bossrush mode. Can't wait for Silksong!

Hollow Knight is one of the greatest games I've ever had the honor of playing. It has only really taken me to play a genuinely horrible, absolutely AWFUL game to show me that (Play Balan Wonderworld if you want that experience. It's a lot like Morbius in a way that it's so awful it's amazing.) The gameplay is incredibly fluid. The mechanics fit together beautifully. The music is beautiful and the art style is simple but at the same time immaculate. Sure the game is challenging (I spent three months on a boss, for example), but it just keeps calling you back in for more. I've had this game for two years and I still play it every few days. I hope Silksong is just as fantastic as this game, and judging by the fact that Team Cherry is taking its time and not rushing to throw out a half-finished product like the Cyberpunk or FNAF 8 devs did, I think it will be just as good, or perhaps, even better.

10/10, would highly, HIGHLY, recommend.

Better than Dark Souls

This game is damn brilliant. I remember buying the game and being a bit uncertain about it, as I had never played a metroidvania before and only a small number of platformers. This game destroyed my expectations. It has a brilliant combat system, smooth platforming, a killer soundtrack and lore for those who want it. It's difficult enough to be challenging but not so difficult that it makes we want to kill myself. There's still challenging encounters for those who want it and I can't imagine any way it could be better. This has managed to become my favorite game of all time and manages to make fighting a dung beetle fun. 10/10, now stop reading the damn reviews and go play it, go on, it's too good not to!

Fun at first

This game is really fun at first but if you're addicted like me, it can become repetitive and frustrating. This is completely subjective, but the game is just a little too difficult for my taste. Maybe it would be better if I played it with a controller rather than a keyboard. I often find myself getting lost and there aren't enough npc's around that I can buy a map from or banks (incase I can't afford one). I often find that I can't afford anything because I keep dying. After you die you lose all your Geo and have to start from the ground up. The game is beautiful, has an amazing art direction, and has great music. I found myself enjoying the earlier parts of the game before it became annoyingly difficult and confusing. I prefer Metroid Dread more, and I highly recommend that game especially if you like this one.

It's your standard plarformer. It looks great as all games do now. It's annoying to wander around a maze, encountering things u can't do, losing lives from things u can't see quick enough to avoid, every room u walk into respawns all enemies, if u lose all your lives all your money is gone that you've been saving to try to find your way back out of the maze to purchase something that will help you get through the maze. Tip for game makers: the player needs incentive to keep playing. If all u get to do is lose and get lost in a maze, where's the fun?
