"Apparently I'm cured"
ygwerin12 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The famous American Author paid Larry a visit and winds up crashing at the Durrell family abode, insisting on behaving in the same bohemian manner that he does in London.

Lesley hears what he at first assumes to be a rumour that Sven and his friend may be in trouble with the law, and Lesley informs his family and Sven of this possibly imagining that Sven would take the opportunity to scarper.

All bad enough until matters take a decided turn for the worst when Lesley is officially ordered to arrest Sven.

This causes both friction in the Durrell household as well as an intense desire to help Sven out.

Larry seems particularly keen to do what he can at whatever cost, while Sven himself wants as little fuss as possible, but will Larry actually listen to what Sven has to say on the matter?

Louisa has altogether different and far more personal tactics in mind to help Sven out of his predicament.

Sprios wife has left him I would guess because he has been spending too much time in helping others like the Durrell's rather than with his own wife and family, and Louisa is determined to help him for mixed motives of guilt and selfishness.

Cousin Bazil turns up from Blighty, still quite literally spouting the exact same atrocious puns. But why did he come all that way? He is loathed to come clean and is very evasive.

Can Louisa really hope to 'cure' Gerry from his vegetarianism by forcing him to prepare his own food? Any more than by tempting him with his old 'favourite food' by wafting the dishes under his nose.

I love the show, its writing and acting now I want to live in that abandoned house in Corfu.

This quote made me 😅

Lawrence to Police Constable (and brother) Leslie, "Tell your colleagues that sexuality is a buffet not a set menu."
