I went to the cinema to see this as it was something I'd heard of (but wasn't on my shortlist of shows to see in London) and I vaguely remembered the original documentary. It was amazing and I'm now addicted to this show. Stunning performances by all the cast. John McCrae was flamboyant, loveable and full of pathos in equal measure as Jamie. The relationship between Jamie and his best friend Priti (Lucie Shorthouse) was beautifully played. This relationship further backing up the central theme that you can be completely different to each other but still have strong and supportive relationships.

Must see musical
diede-5020029 November 2018
This musical is brilliant, it's a must see for all. The music is beautiful, the actors are so talented, the life and energy are unmistakable. Everybody's Talking About Jamie is modern, ahead of its time, about current issues and has a gay lead character. The story is well-written and relevant: it is about loving and being who you are, no matter what. It resonates with our society nowadays. I definitely recommend it, lastly because it's awesome to see a guy dancing on heels better than I can walk on them!
One of the best stage to film executions

I was fortunate enough to see this musical in the West End in 2018 and it was one of my favorites. So sure, I was trepidatious when I heard the film was being created. This movie does a wonderful job of capturing the magic of the stage show. There are a few numbers cut out but the performances were wonderful. The director of the stage film directed the film. You will not be disappointed. The message is so positive and the performances are so genuine.
