Not bad for an indie faith film.
aetherialuna19 July 2021
I usually hate "faith films" because they are terribly produced and written. This one is actually decent, with a silly but enjoyable storyline and a great message. Acting is amateurish, but the movie is filmed pretty well at least. If you LIKE Christian movies and faith based films, you should certainly check this one out. If this isn't your thing, don't bother.

Fun Freaky Friday Style

Hi All, I can say that I rather enjoyed The Big Fix.

The performances were great, throughout.

Despite some anti-biblical teaching, it stood up for what's important in marriage and family.

This had some fun gags as well, especially break a leg.

Brook Muci and Matt Moore were standouts playing the mom in daughter's body and son in dad's body, respectively.

Despite some predictable plot twists, this was a source of mostly clean laughs.

The supporting cast was great as well.

Yes, it was a low budget movie, as is the case with most Christian films, but was enjoyable nonetheless.

The closing credits have a fun gag/deleted scene as well.

Wholesome & funny movie!

In an age when it's difficult to find clean entertainment with values and morals, I happened upon this cute comedy and laughed all the way through it. The actors are delightful and It has a good message. I recommend it to those who enjoy wholesome entertainment.

Painful to watch; truly cringeworthy

If you want to see a good body swap movie, go see Big (the best), Face Off (also a classic), 13 Going on 30, All of Me, Freaky Friday, 17 Again, heck, even the Change Up.

But The Big Fix is simply terrible. The characters are idiots, the writing is tone deaf as to how people talk and act in the real world, the direction is clumsy, the acting is amateurish, the extras look like zombies, and there's an annoying series of gaps between dialogue, as though the actors were trying to remember their next lines. Ugh.

I'm not a fan of faith based movies, but some of the pastor's messages (about being selfless and focusing on the future rather than the past) were actually good healthy messages. But the movie is just awful.

And what's with the "break a leg" nonsense?

Avoid this.

Hard pass from me

Not sure why the reviews are so good, maybe some people have been confusing it with the 1978 film by the same title?

I didn't finish this. Within a few minutes I thought the couple should just get divorced and I didn't believe that anything, not even body switching, would be an effective long term solution.

Life and Family 101
jrd-1393427 December 2018
This movie addresses the subject of selfishness vs. selflessness in a humorous way, but it's also very serious, and gripping at times. The family members each selfishly ask God to "fix" the others, only to miraculously switch bodies and have to see firsthand life through the eyes of another (high schoolers run the family business and parents going to high school). The cast and crew volunteered to make this movie because we all have a love for Christ and a passion for others (no one involved in this movie was paid).

Kept me watching the whole way through

Family members switching bodies is a HUGE Big Fix in this movie for the family and I think many families can relate. In the end, they learn how to balance work and life with family being of the utmost importance since they've been able to walk in each others' shoes and understand where each other is coming from in life and the choices they have made.

There were several low to mid-key comedy moments in this movie and each intended comedy moment made me laugh. All actors/actresses were great in the movie and I recommend.

Just a good movie to see with your preschool kids

A little naive and 'in your face' kind of movie. But your underaged kids would love it. Me and my wife had fun watching our kids laughing at moments that isn't funny at all.

This movie is Hilarious! It's my new classic of Christian films
kcnhhomework9 October 2021
It's about time. We never see these kind of christian what if films...as if God is incapable of doing what if. I'm definately not an advocate of body swapping and pray that God would never do that to me. But the storyline was enjoyable, and I personally loved the acting.

Once the parents swapped bodies with their children and the parents became the two teens in the film, the movie took off for me on a comedy level. I loved the acting of Vanessa Simoes and Matt Moore as teens in their parents bodies. They were hilarious!!! The fighting, pushing and shoving, their excitement, the running, sliding and all the stuff we usually can't do at the age was so fun to watch!

Olivia, Brook Mucci, was great as her mother, and to watch her and her brother Hunter, Julian Simoes, evolve from silly, sibling rivalry to serious adults was great movement.

Cameron Arnett wasn't bad either I love his work in general...except in his movie 'Discarded Things'. His acting was so good in that movie that I thoroughly disliked him.

Overall, when I need a pick me up or a laugh, I watch this Christian version of the Big Fix. It seems there are two. I've watched it at least 11 times now.

This one doesn't deserve any star

These idiots of actors first need to study acting to perform secondly I rented this one because the title DP had Will Smith! There is not Will smith in this movie not even a cheap imitation.

Very funny and very... serious

Warning: Spoilers
The movie suggests that we should understand each other to act as a selflessness way. Family members changes body and ends with a predicable ending, but still, the movie has laughs between so not that boring.
